During the panel the film’s trailer was revealed giving us our first look at the villains in action and showing off the movie’s uniquely dark and twisted look. Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn was undoubtedly the star of the trailer, with one clip showing her doing the splits mid-air in her prison cell.

But the one character everybody was waiting for their first glimpse of was The Joker, played by Jared Leto, who got a cheer from the audience when he appeared onscreen. In the trailer Harley Quinn is heard asking him, ’Are you the devil?’ To which he replies, ‘All you need to know is that you work for me.’

Proving that Leto’s Joker could just rival Heath Ledger’s in the dark and twisted stakes, another scene heard him tell his victim, ‘I’m not gonna kill ya, I’m just gonna hurt ya really, really bad.’ When the trailer ended fans applauded and cheered, with Will Smith who plays Deadshot telling them, "We are banging out something that is absolutely fantastic. We'll see y'all next year!"

The Suicide Squad movie will hit on August 5, 2016, just four months after the release of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The movie’s first official trailer, which debuted at SDCC, is set to make its way online in the coming days.
