Lambert was struggling to hold her awards at the American Country Music Awards on Sunday (6th April). The singer won three of the large trophies and posed somewhat awkwardly but happily in the press room. The 30-year-old took home the most awards after she won Female Vocalist of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year alongside Keith Urban. Urban was a secretive runner up with two awards as, not only did he collaborate with Lambert for Vocal event, but he also featured (alongside Taylor Swift) in Tim Mcgraw's 'Highway Don't Care' which won Video of the Year.

Man Pronounced Dead On Scene As Jason Aldean's Tour Bus Strikes Him

Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean has offered up his prayers and support for the family and friends of a man struck by his tour bus on an Indiana highway. Albert Kennedy of Vincennes, Indiana was pronounced dead on the scene.

"With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana," Aldean said in an online statement.

Aldean had already wrapped up his tour, and was travelling to Illinois for a brief vacation, so was the only passenger on the bus at the time. The Knox County sheriff's department said that Kennedy "walked out into the middle of the roadway" and was struck by the bus.

Aerosmith, New Kids On The Block Rock TD Garden For Boston Benefit

Aerosmith New Kids On The Block Jason Aldean Dane Cook

The Boston Strong benefit for the victims of the marathon bombings last month has only been in the works for a few weeks. In that time, the event team managed to pull together a star-studded lineup, from Aerosmith to New Kids On The Block, all performing for free. The venue – TD Garden - and even Ticketmaster.com also waived all fees in the spirit of charity. Somehow, Boston Strong worked and it worked well, with barely any time to organize. Acts included some proud Bostonians, as well as acts, who just performed out of solidarity for the city’s people. Acts like Jason Aldean, Dane Cook, James Taylor and Aerosmith, who flew in from Singapore, the latest stop in their tour, just to participate, reports Reuters.

“To say everyone is checking their ego at the door is a cliche, but it’s true,” said New Kid Donnie Wahlberg for Boston.com. “To walk down the hallway and bump into Carole King and have her say ‘Thank you. Your city is so great. . . . There’s no place for rock star attitudes tonight.”

The sole reason behind the concert was helping Boston and its citizens move on, and it looks like the event has been a huge success. At prices between $35 and $285, tickets had been sold out for weeks for the 17,500-seat venue, with net proceeds to be donated to The One Fund and, through it, victims of the bombing.

Vampire Weekend's Billboard No.1 Is A Triumph For Independent Music

Vampire Weekend Demi Lovato Lady Antebellum Jason Aldean Macklemore Steve Buscemi

Indie rockers Vampire Weekend have topped the Billboard 200 chart with their latest record 'Modern Vampires of the City,' besting commercial efforts from the likes of X-Factor judge Demi Lovato, Lady Antebellum and the Great Gatsby soundtrack featuring music from Jay-Z and Florence and the Machine.

The New York outfit's album sold 134,000 in its first week of sales, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. It was also the first independently distributed album to debut at No.1 on the chart since country singer Jason Aldean's 'Night Train' in November last year. It was another country star - George Strait - who finished in second place this week with sales of 120,000, while Lovato's 'Demi' sold 110,000 copies to take No.3. Last week's No.1, 'Golden' by Lady Antebellum fell to No.5 while the soundtrack to Gatsby dropped to No.4 from No.2.

Meanwhile, on Billboard's Digital Songs chart, rapper and producer team Macklemore & Ryan Lewis held the top spot with 231,000 downloads of their hit 'Can't Hold Us.' Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines, featuring rapper T.I. and Pharrell Williams took second, ahead of Pink.

CMT Music Awards 2013 Nominees Revealed!

Jason Aldean

There’s only one thing the Country music fraternity loves as much as the actual genre itself, and that’s hosting awards shows in honor of it. The CMT nominations have just been announced, the third big event of the calendar year in Nashville, alongside the Academy of Country Awards and Country Music Association Awards – presumably there’s plenty of others too, in a convoluted award-based hierarchy that resembles something akin to the various governing bodies of professional boxing. But with more singing and less hitting people.

Anyway, all the usual faces that you’d expect to be included in the nomination lists are there. Taylor Swift is up for two nominations – video of the year and female video of the year – while other big names up for some gongs include Carrie Underwood – up for the same categories as Swift – and Miranda Lambert ,who is up for a whopping four awards. Four!

Lambert can boast a share of the claim to be the most nominated artist at this year’s CMTs, joining more hardcore country icons Luke Bryan and Eric Church in being up for a potential quartet of awards. Jason Aldean will be hoping to put recent marriage woes behind him by taking one of his three nominations. The country star recently split up with his wife of 11 years Jessica Ussery after being caught kissing American Idol alumni Brittany Kerr. Check out the full list of nominees here. The event takes place on June 5th.

After A Long Struggle, The Divorce Papers Are In For Jason Aldean And Jessica Ussery

Jason Aldean

Country star Jason Aldean and wife Jessica Ussery are calling it quits on their 12-year-long marriage. The musician filed the divorce papers last week, on April 26th, citing the infamous “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the divorce. The pair had been rumoured to be having problems for a while. A day before the news was made official, a rep for Aldean commented: "I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share with the press at this time," his rep told PEOPLE at the time. "It's a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way."

The couple, who have two daughters together – Keely, 10, and Kendyl, 5 – are determined to keep things civil and remain in touch for their kids’ sake, according to Aldean himself: "She will always be important to me because she is the mother of my children, and I know that we will both always make our daughters our number one priority."

Like many of his fellow celebrities, Aldean was also quick to pan any unconfirmed rumors that may have been circulating and ask for privacy during the difficult moment: "I've learned that everyone always rushes to judgment when they hear news like this. That's really hard because no one knows anything about our relationship but us," he continued. "I understand that because of my job, I have to go through a lot of this in the public eye, but for my girls' sake I really wish people would give us some level of privacy and at the very least be respectful of them."

Jason Aldean Reflects On 'Really Tough Time' After Filing For Divorce

Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean, the biggest selling American country star, has filed for divorce from his wife of 11 years, Jessica Aldean. Jason was snapped kissing American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr on the Sunset Strip last year, though it appeared that he and his wife had worked through their problems.

The pair appeared together on the red-carpet in November, though it appears the incident with Kerr has damaged the marriage irreparably. "This is a really tough time for my entire family," Aldean said in a statement on Monday afternoon, "Jessica and I have been together since we were teenagers. We've been through a lot of ups and downs over the years as we grew up together as a couple. She will always be important to me because she is themother  of my children, and I know that we will both always make our daughters our (hash)1 priority."

The 36-year-old singer filed divorce papers in Tennessee on April 26 - the same day that he announced he and Jessica had separated. The couple have two children together, daughters Keeley and Kendyl. They met at the Windsor Academy high-school in Georgia and married on August 4, 2001.
