Bonnie found fame playing Ginny Weasley in the wizardIing franchise, but the flame-haired actress is expanding her skill set with some directing too. She's still only 25, but Bonnie has already helmed three film shorts, including one with 52-year-old Jason.

"She's been to film school in America - she has become a talented young director and adapted an A.S. Byatt short story," Jason told Britain's Metro newspaper. "I was paying a hairdresser. It was only a four-day shoot so I practised on a dummy at home. My hands were covered in cuts from the scissors. Having met Bonnie when she was 11, to see her direct in her twenties so confidently and well was a huge pleasure."

While some may find it weird to be bossed around by someone they knew as a child, Jason explains it's actually a common occurrence in the film world.

"It happens when you work for so long," he said. "You work with people who weren't born when you started in the profession. It's interesting to work for people on passion projects because no one is up their own a**e. It's about telling good stories, which is why I started this business."

Jason is best known for playing long-haired villain Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter, but the actor has enjoyed a long and varied career. He played an army captain in Fury and tackled Captain Hook in 2003's Peter Pan, but work doesn't always go his way.

"If I avoided them I'd never leave the house," he laughed when asked if he swerves films his missed out on. "I'm at that age now that when I do miss out on something, one of my friends will have got it. It's a merry-go-round. Some people pass on something, you feel you've got it second hand, then it becomes enormously successful.

"I've also turned things down that have become very successful. I'm incredibly lucky to get to do a job I love. Any negative thoughts are a waste of time."
