Having starred in the first two films in the original 'Jurassic Park' series, Jeff Goldblum will be making his return to the franchise in 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom'. As the sequel to the hugely successful 'Jurassic World' which was released in 2015, the movie will see Goldblum revive his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm alongside new series regulars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

The first 'Jurassic World' went on to take an incredible $1.6 billion across the globe, proving that the franchise was successful enough on its own without all of its original stars being forced to jump back on board. Of course, the inclusion of Goldblum will only help the box office takings when the film makes its debut next year.

Exactly what we should expect from Goldblum hasn't yet been revealed, but if the actor's recent words are anything to go by, he won't be involved in much of what the film has to offer.

Speaking on the Empire Podcast, the actor teased of his upcoming role in the 'Jurassic World' sequel: "It's small... Who knows, they may cut me out entirely! But if I stay in I'll be a sprig of parsley or a little garnish, hopefully with some impact!"

It's good to know that whilst nostalgia will be granted through Goldblum's inclusion, he won't take over the film and overshadow all of the new stars that are helping the franchise continue to be a success.

The first 'Jurassic World' film was very much Owen (Pratt) and Claire's (Dallas Howard) journey being followed, after the latter helped create a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur which of course went on to escape its confinements and cause chaos, death and destruction.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the franchise has now passed the reins to a new director in J. A. Bayona. Whether or not the sequel will see as much success as 2015's outing however remains to be seen.
