Jenna Jameson has been acquitted of the charges of battery brought against her at the weekend for allegedly battering her assistant Britney Markham with a brass knuckle iPhone case.

The porn star has been cleared by The Orange County District Attorney's Office for her misdemeanour battery charges based on lack of evidence following a reported allegation made by her transgender assistant Britney Markham that she stormed into the Newport Beach salon yelling at her and threatening, 'I'll f***ing kill you' while savagely beaten her with brass knuckles.

The incident happened only hours before she was due to celebrate her 39th birthday at the Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California, which she was subsequently unable to attend.

Markham apparently ended up in hospital for her injuries and had her lawyer Adam Krolikowski file a restraining order on the adult actress. Jameson has denied that her assistant was the victim, telling E! News, 'These claims are false and the accuser was not a female as reports are claiming, it was a male and was never my assistant or worked for me.

I am happy to have the truth come out and ecstatic that the DA's office realized the claims were false as well.'
