Jennifer Carpenter, the American actress best known for her role in 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose', is set to divorce from husband MICHAEL C. HALL after just one and a half years of marriage, reports the New York Daily News. The couple, who work together on the hit show 'Dexter', married back in December 2008.
The pair were thrust into the media spotlight earlier this year after it was revealed that the actor had been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, however, their reps recently told Entertainment Weekly, "Having been separated for some time, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have filed for divorce". The statement added that the split was amicable. Hall, who plays the anti-hero 'Dexter Morgan' on the hit US show, received his fifth Golden Globe nomination on Tuesday (14th December 2010) and 'Dexter' was recently renewed for a sixth season after recording impressive viewing figures.
Carpenter, who plays Dexter Morgan's sister on the show, recently completed work on the forthcoming crime-horror movie 'The Factory', which also stars John Cusack and Mae Whitman.
