When Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their separation after a decade of marriage, many fans were left bereft by the break-up of one of Hollywood’s seemingly strongest unions. Then when the couple remained friends, there were the inevitable hopes for reconciliation. However, a new report has revealed the divorce is back on and "not one thing" has changed.

Despite announcing their divorce in 2015, neither has filed papers on the action; however, 44-year-old Garner is now reportedly filing for divorce from her Batman star husband, Affleck.

The two share three children, Violet, 10, Seraphina, seven and Samuel, four, and continue to co-parent the siblings in an amicable setting.

US Weekly has reported the Daredevil actress is preparing to file for divorce after nearly two years, despite the pair still having loving feelings for one another.

Speaking about the dynamic between the two, a source said: "Their friendship is there.

"They are committed to co-parenting. Whatever form this relationship is, they'll always have love for each other, and the love they have for their kids is so strong, they won't let anything bring that down.

"They both have done things they're not proud of. In no way was Ben a shining husband, but there are a lot of things that go into a marriage and a split. They put together their plans and goals, in terms of their friendship and their relationship, and they're doing just that.

"Whatever this new normal that they created for their family is, they're doing it."
