Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson Is To Perform At A Rally In Support Of An American Education Charity.
The Grammy Award winner will take to the stage at the event in Brooklyn, New York on Wednesday (30Sep15).
The rally has been organised by bosses at Families for Excellent Schools, a charity which campaigns for education improvements.
Jennifer, whose six-year-old son David attends a school in the Big Apple, is expected to perform six songs for a crowd of 10,000.
"I'm standing for education equality because every child deserves access to a great school," she says of the gig.
Families for Excellent Schools CEO Jeremiah Kittredge adds, "Jennifer Hudson has been an inspiring role model for millions of young children across the country. She'll be one of many to give voice to the urgent need for students to have access to excellent schools."
DJ Jazzy Jeff will also perform at the rally, while Aloe Blacc will be a guest speaker.
The news comes just days after Jennifer performed for Pope Francis during a mass at Madison Square Garden on Friday (25Sep15).
