Jennifer Lawrence revealed details of a brief bar fight she got into while on holiday in Budapest earlier this year, with a fan who kept badgering her for a selfie.

The 27 year old actress, who is currently doing the talk show circuit in promotion of her new film Mother! directed by Darren Aronofsky, and made the revelation during a self-admitted “morbidly hungover” appearance on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ on Thursday night (September 14th), following the movie’s New York premiere the previous evening.

“I was drunk and this guy asked me for a selfie and I was like, ‘No, thank you, no,” Lawrence said about the encounter in the Hungarian capital a few months ago. “Then he was like, ‘Please my girlfriend will never believe me’, then my friend was like, “’If your girlfriend won’t believe you, then she’s not the one’.”

Darren Aronofsky's new film Mother! is causing quite a stir among critics. After its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival this week, the filmmaker met the press with his girlfriend, the movie's star Jennifer Lawrence, who plays a woman who is driven over the edge as she sets up home and starts a family with husband Javier Bardem.

Jennifer Lawrence has offered a unique charity prize for those prepared to fight political corruption – a night out getting hammered with her!

The 27 year old Oscar winner has teamed up with fundraising site Omaze to offer fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go on a wine-tasting tour with her. All the proceeds from the raffle will go to Represent.us, an organisation dedicated to fighting political corruption of which Lawrence is a board member.

If fans donate $10 or more to the cause, they’ll be entered into the competition, the winner of which will get a free flight for two to California, four-star hotel accommodation and a wine-tasting picnic experience with J-Law. Fans of Lawrence who are under 21 can still enter, but alternative beverages will be provided.

Emma Stone has been named as the highest-paid female actor in Hollywood of the last 12 months, edging out Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lawrence in the annual list published by Forbes.

The 28 year old star made $26 million over the last year, the overwhelming majority of which came from her earnings from her Oscar-winning performance as a barista and aspiring actress in the musical romance La La Land, which made over $445 million worldwide.

“I moved here when I was 15 to start auditioning, I knew what it felt like to go on audition after audition,” Stone said in the run-up to the film’s release.

Jennifer Lawrence has responded to the controversy that greeted her movie Passengers late last year, revealing she’s “disappointed” in herself for not spotting the flaws in the script.

The 26 year old actress starred opposite Chris Pratt in the sci-fi romance Passengers, which was met with scepticism and criticism from movie-goers. As well as underperforming at the box office when it was released in December 2016, many people described the plot as “creepy”, in which Pratt’s character, accidentally waking up from an intergalactic deep sleep 90 years from his destination, wakes up Lawrence’s character in order have some company – effectively killing her in the process.

Lawrence was grilled about the movie in a new interview, and while she defended the project and her part in it, she said that she wished in retrospect she had looked into it more closely before participating.

Jennifer Lawrence has spoken out about the privacy hack she suffered nearly three years ago when nude photos of her went viral, saying that she was “blindsided” and the fear of the same thing happening again is always there.

The 26 year old Hollywood megastar told Vogue for its 125th anniversary in a new interview about the 2014 hacking, saying: “I think people saw it for what it was, which was a sex crime, but that feeling, I haven't been able to get rid of it.”

Edward Majerczyk of Chicago was arrested after police investigated the 2014 ‘celebgate’ affair and pleaded guilty in July last year of stealing images of more than 100 celebs, including Lawrence.

The new Broadway adaptation of George Orwell’s classic novel ‘Nineteen Eighty-Four’ has been grabbing headlines for its shocking and often stomach-turning violence in preview performances, even causing a few audience members to faint or leave the theatre to be sick.

One of these is believed to be Hollywood royalty Jennifer Lawrence, who was reported to have been sick while watching a preview of the play on Monday night (July 17th) in New York City.

“Midway through the show, Jennifer Lawrence bolted from her seat. Several people saw her getting sick in the lobby. The ushers were very helpful and courteous in helping her out,” a source told Page Six.

Though everything about it looks like two friends grabbing some food and drink together, Jennifer Lawrence has sparked rumours that she might be dating comedian and actor Aziz Ansari – because they had dinner together on Valentine’s Day.

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she had to get “really, really drunk” in order to marshal her nerves ahead of filming a sex scene with fellow Hollywood A-lister Chris Pratt, because he’s a married man. But director Francis Lawrence and star Natalie Dormer have defend the film’s level of violence, saying they didn't want to shy away from the book’s original content.

Jennifer Lawrence’s recent essay pointing out the gender pay gap in Hollywood was the latest in a series of incidences this year of celebrities highlighting the issue in a high-profile manner. Hollywood stars including Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller and Emma Watson have declared their support for Jennifer Lawrence’s essay on gender pay inequality in the film industry.

Miller and Cooper, who were interviewed on the red carpet at the premiere of their new movie Burnt on Wednesday (October 14th), both weighed in on the article that Lawrence published via Lena Dunham’s newsletter Lenny the previous day.

33 year old Miller revealed that she once turned down a play because she was offered less than half the pay of her male co-star – in a two-person production. She told E! News that she reluctantly did “what we have to start doing, unfortunately, at the expense of our creative dreams… …I walked away from a play I wanted to do because I was offered less than half of what the other man was offered and it was just the two of us.”
