Jennifer Lawrence was joined by her fellow Hunger Games cast whilst in Cannes on Saturday 17th May. The actress, best known for playing Katniss Everdeen, has turned heads over the last year with her daring yet brilliantly executed red carpet looks.

Jennifer Lawrence's matching skirt and top certainly turned heads at the Cannes' photocall.

The 23-year-old looked lovely with her short hair curled and resting just below her ear. She wore an unusual outfit which included a white skirt complete with frilled mesh and a crop top which a pattern which would not have looked out of place in the Panem’s District 1. The Dior top was emblazoned with a motif, designed to look like a window in which a sea-side landscape could be clearly seen. The back of her unusual top was split and looked as if she were wearing a pair of wings. She completed the two piece ensemble with silver earrings and matching pointed silver heeled shoes.

Lawrence was joined by co-stars Donald Sutherland, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Julianne Moore and Sam Clafin for the photo roll call before the premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay. Moore looked sophisticated and appropriately presidential in a navy blue halter neck playsuit, with her auburn hair piled elegantly on top of her head. The rest of the cast who had appeared, all males, wore formal jackets over open shirts and certainly looked the part for the beach side shoot. Only Liam Hemsworth was in full formal mode, sporting a buttoned shirt and tie with matching grey trousers and a waistcoat.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is the penultimate film in The Hunger Games franchise. The film continues Katniss’ journey growing up in the dystopia of Panem in which she becomes a symbol of rebellion following her appearance in the Hunger Games in which 24 children are placed in an arena to fight to the death. In the last film we saw her separated from Peeta, her on-off love interest, whilst she heads towards a secret rebel base in District 13. The upcoming film promises to show Katniss coming to terms with her status whilst she deals with the loss of Peeta. Unfortunately, fans of the franchise have a while to wait as the film is not due to be released until 21st November in the UK and US.
