Hollywood A-list star Jennifer Lawrence took some time out of her manic filming schedule to visit a children’s hospital in Montreal, Canada and surprise some young patients. Obviously, there were pictures taken of her with the kids and chatting to staff, which is another reminder of why everybody loves J-Law. As if we needed another reason.

The 24 year old Hunger Games star is in the Canadian city filming X-Men: Apocalypse alongside James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult. It’s rumoured to be the last time she stars as Mystique in the franchise before it’s refreshed with new blood next time around.

However, she took a little break from all that by visiting Shriners Hospital for Children, a facility which treats children with chronic conditions, mainly neuromusculoskeletal disorders. She posed for a number of photographs with children and staff, signed casts and generally brought smiles to the place on Friday afternoon (August 7th).

“A very special visitor stopped by our Canada hospital today. Jennifer Lawrence is in Montreal filming a new movie and she made time to visit some of our #ShrinersCanada kids and staff,” the hospital’s staff wrote in a Facebook post, sharing four pictures.

Other big movie stars such as Chris Evans, Chris Pratt and the new all-female cast of Ghostbusters – Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones – have all taken the time to give something back to the less fortunate in the last year.

Lawrence has herself visited the Kosair Children’s Hospital in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky at around Christmas time for the last couple of years to spread a little festive cheer.

X-Men: Apocalypse has a theatrical release date of May 27th, 2016.
