Expectant Jennifer Love Hewitt Steps Out In Full Pregnancy Mode

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt, who made the wise, but rare decision to withdraw from social media after announcing her pregnancy almost three months ago, is back with a vengeance. It was the Pampers Love Sleep & Play event in New York City that brought the Client List actress out of her self-imposed hiatus away from all the “negativity.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt, Pampers Love, Sleep & Play Event
The actress looked positively radiant at the unveiling of the Love, Sleep & Play campaign.

This Wednesday, the expecting mother tweeted: , "Proud to join @Pampers today to celebrate Love, Sleep & Play!" When she stepped out, she was sporting a subdued maternity look, including brand new bangs, minimal makeup and a simple black dress. Of course, Jennifer had the requisite pregnancy glow to make the plain ensemble work. On the red carpet, she shared that she has been thoroughly enjoying her pregnancy and that she and partner and Client List co-star Brian Hallisay are in no rush to tie the knot. According to 34-year-old Hewitt, the couple will wait until things settle down after the birth to begin planning a ceremony.

Kid Rocker! Congratulations to Kate Winslet and husband Ned Rocknroll this week, after the couple confirmed they are expecting their first child together. It will be the Oscar winning actress's third child, joining her daughter Mia and son Joe.

Bye Bye Bynes Case: The NYPD can probably kiss goodbye to its case against troubled star Amanda Bynes after it emerged they have little or no evidence that the television actress was taking drugs when arrested at her apartment last week. It still hasn't stopped her ranting on Twitter though.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Reveals All Ahead Of 'The Client List' Season 2 Premiere

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt and The Client List returns for a second season on Lifetime, and the actress has been revealing a little of what viewers can expect after a first season which saw most of the male cast members getting most of the fun story lines.

This time the women are fighting back with their own shenanigans – and it sounds like it’s going to get viewers pretty hot under the collar! “There’s a male masseuse for female happy endings,” Love Hewitt told She Knows. “It’s pretty saucy! We just felt like it wasn’t fair for guys to be the only ones having their fantasies answered, so we brought on a steamy guy to make the women happy. Women are actually more aggressive in that department.”

The actress went on to say “There’s a love triangle between the two brothers. Everyone in the spa is hooking up with each other. Riley has more of a takeover position at the spa. There’s lots and lots of debt. And there’s danger and intrigue about the list. Where it is, who has it, what Riley will do to keep it.” Hewitt is rumored to be dating co-star Brian Hallsay, though she has remained schtum about the matter. Be sure to watch tonight (March 11th), if only to find out whether you can spot any extra chemistry between the pair on set.

Garfield: The Movie Review

Bad
At the very least, Garfield: The Movie explains why Bill Murray wore such a long face after Sean Penn picked up the Best Actor Oscar at this year's Academy Awards ceremony. Apparently Murray had already seen a finished cut of the film and knew that the minute this cinematic litter box liner hit theaters, his chance of ever winning a golden boy would grow as slim as Calista Flockhart on the Atkins diet.

Blame the source material. The repetitive and one-dimensional Garfield is loosely based on Jim Davis' repetitive and one-dimensional comic strip. For those unfamiliar with the 'toon, Garfield's a tubby tabby with a taste for lasagna. He barely tolerates his wimpy owner, Jon Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer), and engages in a love-hate relationship with Odie, a dopey but earnest pooch.

If Only Review

OK
You want a really freaky mashup? How about Twice in a Lifetime and Final Destination. Bang, you got If Only, a Jennifer Love Hewitt vehicle that went -- zoom! -- straight to DVD.

10 Things I Hate About You director Gil Junger gives us Hewitt at her most typical: She's an American violin student in London on the eve of her big graduation concert. She's living with a British boyfriend (Paul Nicholls), and they seem to be on the downswing. Sure enough, that night he forgets about the concert, they have a big fight, and she ends up dead in a car accident. WTF? That's right, 30 minutes in and J. Love is dead.

Garfield: A Tail Of Two Kitties Review

Bad
Some movies don't require a review. Watch a commercial for Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties and you know what to expect: An obese, lasagna-loving cat with a ton of attitude, many bad jokes, and Breckin Meyer and Jennifer Love Hewitt (now, sadly, in the Mom haircut phase of her career) generating the sparks of two ice cubes rubbing together. The movie is what you expect, meaning it's a hoot for the slackjawed fans of the comic strip cat and a colossal waste of time for everyone else.

The sequel to the abysmal Garfield: The Movie picks up with Garfield's owner Jon Arbuckle (Meyer) on the verge of proposing to veterinarian Liz (Hewitt). Garfield doesn't like this plan one bit, so he sabotages the special night. Regardless, there's not much to undo, as Liz bolts after announcing she has to travel to London for business. Jon, bummed that he missed his chance, flies to London so he can pop the question, while Garfield, with canine nemesis Odie in tow, sneaks aboard the plane.

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame II Review

Bad
Our pal Quasimodo finds love of his own in this abortive and unbearably lazy sequel to Disney's moderate success, The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Unlike mostly no-name productions like The Return of Jafar, the entire original cast is back in this sequel (with the exception of Mary Wickes, who died before the original Hunchback was ever released), and how Disney convinced them to take part is beyond me. (Iron-clad contract or the promise that, after all, this will barely take an hour of their time?)

Heartbreakers Review

Very Good
The problem with a movie like Heartbreakers is that as hard as you try to concentrate on the notable qualities of the film -- the clever camerawork, the strong ensemble acting, the deft script -- every time Jennifer Love Hewitt walks into a scene, her breasts take over. Even my date noticed the blatant attempts by the filmmakers in drawing all attention to the chests of both Sigourney Weaver and Hewitt. Alas, all those breasts are never fully revealed -- like some bad '80s teen horror film censored by Jerry Falwell.

Despite the massive amounts of boob time in Heartbreakers, the film delivers all the goods of a solid comedic vehicle. Max (Weaver) and Page (Hewitt) are a mother/daughter team who swindle rich guys out of their dollars in a con involving matrimony vows, extramarital trysts, and divorce settlements. Sort of like a cross between Anywhere but Here and The Grifters. With the IRS hot on their proverbial tails, the duo team up for one last job, bilking cigarette tycoon William B. Tensy (Gene Hackman) out of his cash. Alas, during the con job, Page ends up falling in love with a local bar owner (Jason Lee), a dead body ends up in their trunk, Princess Leia shows up as a divorce attorney, and a jilted ex-husband (Ray Liotta) shows up waving a gun and advising group therapy for everyone.

I Know What You Did Last Summer Review

OK
Yesterday's flavor of the month Kevin Williamson penned this little horror flick way back in 1997, a terribly straightforward tale where the suspected killer... really is the killer. Notably, this movie launched the film career of Jennifer Love Hewitt's breasts.

The Adventures Of Tom Thumb & Thumbelina Review

Good
I have no idea if there are prior Tom Thumb or Thumbelina movies before this one (actually, I'm sure there are -- I just don't know if they're actually related to it), but this new Adventure certainly features an all-new, all-star cast.

Jennifer Love Hewitt (who's making a cottage industry out of voicing animated heroines) and Elijah Wood (who's making a cottage industry out of playing smaller-than-normal characters) take center stage as the titular leads, ultra-short teens in search of destiny (and quite naturally, one another, though they don't know it yet).

Can't Hardly Wait Review

Excellent
Surprisingly well-realized teen party film about the last night a bunch of high school kids have as, well, high schoolers. Follows a dozen often hilarious stories, the least interesting of which, unfortunately, is the Ethan Embry-Jennifer Love Hewitt wannabe romance. Otherwise, a really good movie and a lot of fun. Recommended.

The Tuxedo Review

Good
As a youngster, I never missed an episode of Inspector Gadget. The loveable, wannabe crime-fighting buffoon always had the necessary tools inside his trench coat to get out of a jam. Like Inspector Gadget, Jackie Chan's character in The Tuxedo has the essential secret weapons inside his formal wear. He has the one thing Gadget could never get however: a sexy super agent partner.

Chan is Jimmy Tong, an unlucky-in-love cabbie who drives his car like a madman through the streets of New York City. His wild driving skills pique the interest of a CSA (think CIA) agent named Steena (Debi Mazar) looking for a new driver for the millionaire secret agent Clark Devlin (Jason Issacs). Tong is hired, and after just a few days on the job, Devlin is maimed in a car bombing. Intrigued by Devlin's debonair lifestyle, Tong begins wearing Devlin's tuxedo and posing as the well-dressed playboy.

Garfield: The Movie Review

OK

The "Garfield" comic strip hasn't been funny in at least 15 years, but Bill Murray rescues the movie adaptation from the same fate by capturing, in his purringly petulant voice performance, that indolent, impudent charm the fat tabby had in his heyday.

In the movie Garfield is a CGI-rendered creation with those band-shell ears and that wily, persnickety smile that could never be found in a real feline -- and the animation is well integrated into the real world he inhabits, where his unlucky-in-love owner Jon Arbuckle (Brekin Meyer) has just been persuaded by a pretty veterinarian Liz (Jennifer Love Hewitt) to adopt a stray puppy named Odie.

For some reason (probably related to budget) director Peter Hewitt (no relation to Jennifer) chose to make Odie a rather nondescript real dog instead of the giraffe-necked, google-eyed, tongue-wagging dope created by cartoonist Jim Davis. But the pets' relationship remains the same, which is to say Garfield resents Odie for obliviously honing in on his lap time and his turf.

The Tuxedo Review

Weak

As Jackie Chan gets older, he's had to start toning down his stock in trade -- the amazing stunts and killer kung fu sequences that have made his movies such a joy to watch in spite of their often paltry plots.

Reduced to relying on a few low-risk fight sequences and his physical, Buster Keaton-style sense of humor, the seams are showing -- and they're ready to burst -- in "The Tuxedo," Chan's first Hollywood picture in which he's not sharing the marquee with Owen Wilson ("Shanghai Noon") or Chris Tucker (the "Rush Hour" flicks).

The movie's gimmick is paper-thin: Chan is a New York cabbie recently hired as chauffeur to a rich, suave secret agent (Jason Isaacs). When his boss is badly injured on a mission, Chan has to take his place, aided by the man's super-high-tech go-go-gadget evening wear -- a tux that can make him dance like James Brown, run like Steve Austin and fight like, well, Jackie Chan.
