View From The Top: Jenny McCarthy's Opinions On Vaccines Take Center-Stage

Jenny McCarthy Elisabeth Hasselbeck Joy Behar

Jenny McCarthy's anti-vaccine views have been cast into the spotlight once more after the former Playboy model and actress was named as the replacement for Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar on The View. McCarthy's son Evan was diagnosed with autism back in 2005, while her marriage to director John Mallory Asher ended shortly afterwards.

The problem is, McCarthy did the rounds on America's biggest television shows at the time, claiming vaccinations caused her son to develop autism - this despite there being a minimal evidence to support such a claim.

In fact, the only real study that linked the administration of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine (MMR) with autism was undertaken by Andrew Wakefield. The British surgeon has since been banned from practicing medicine in the United Kingdom.

Knives And Forks Out, We've Got Beef! Jenny McCarthy Attacks Critic Over Cousin Melissa McCarthy Slurs

Jenny McCarthy Melissa McCarthy

The trouble with messing with one McCarthy, is that the one might get you back… Jenny McCarthy, Melissa McCarthy’s cousin and the host of The Jenny McCarthy Show, tore into film critic Rex Reed after he had given Melissa and her new film, Identity Thief, a bad review.

Reed’s problem with film actually turned out to be a personal problem with the comic and actor, and he wrote in the New York Observer that she was a "gimmick comedian who has devoted her short career to being obese and obnoxious with equal success." That didn’t go down too well with cousin Jenny, who told E! Online "I don't have the whole story, but, I do know that, after being in this business 20 years, it's really crummy that you get attacked in your personal life in general.” Beef!

Continuing, the talk show host fumed "That's obnoxious in itself. For anyone to attack like that, it's just wrong and hurtful, and it doesn't do anyone any good—not even Rex Reed, you know?" So what does Mr Reed have to say for himself? Quite a bit actually. "My point was that I object to using health issues like obesity as comic talking points...[McCarthy] is basing her career on being obnoxious and being overweight” he told WOR 710 FM, according to Indiewire. “And I don't think that's funny. I have too many friends that have died of obesity-related illnesses, heart problems and diabetes, and I have actually lost friends to this. I have helped people try to lose weight, and I don't find this to be the subject of a lot of humor. I have a perfect right to say that.” Can you smell that, readers? That’s right, looks like we’ve got some prime medium rare BEEF on our hands…

Jenny McCarthy: New Show Promises Hugh-Hefner Levels Of Sexiness

Jenny McCarthy

Jenny McCarthy’s new show promises to be a sexy affair. When McCarthy was deciding how to bring a sexy twist to The Jenny McCarthy Show, she looked to the King of Sex for inspiration: none other than Hugh Hefner, the sexiest pensioner around.

“What is missing in late night – to me – is a bit of sexiness, Jenny told reporters at the Television Critics Association Winter 2013 Press Tour on Saturday (January 5, 2013). According to Yahoo News, Jenny went on to say “not that Jay Leno is not sexy but I feel like the template that I talked about is ‘Playboy After Dark.’ And what I love that Hugh Hefner did was kind of have this… sexy, after hours party, but also have really great conversations with his guests.” McCarthy made it her goal to attain such levels of intellectual sexiness and lucky for her, got to practice on none other than Silver Linings Playbook star Bradley Cooper, with a special lie-down interview.

"I wanted to kind of put my own stamp on how I do celebrity interviews, so I've been doing a segment right now called 'Groundbreaking Interviews,' where I take the celebrity and we literally lay on the ground and we look up and we have the camera overhead and I interview them in a casual conversation… I've found by doing this, which I've tested -- Bradley Cooper -- it works quite well. There's something that [happens where] the celebrity kind of lets go and has a little bit more of a conversational tone. It's not so scripted.” There you go, Letterman, that’s where you’ve been going wrong all these years. Get outta the chair and onto the floor!

Taylor Swift performs at New Year's Rockin' Even in Times Square, NY. She wasn't just making headlines for her singing though...

They became two of the biggest pop stars in the world during 2012, so it was only fitting that Taylor Swift and Carly Rae Jepsen were on hand to bring the curtain down on 2012 at the famous New Year's Rockin' Eve televised event in New York's Times Square. Perhaps the real success of the night however was the ABC's host Ryan Seacrest who - with help from Jenny McCarthy - did the late great Dick Clark proud in hosting proceedings in the first Rockin' Eve to be held since the veteran's death last year.

Family Affari: Justin Bieber and his mother Pattie at the AMA Awards in Los Angeles

"The next Justin Bieber" has been a phrase bandied around the music industry for the past couple of years. Who would take the Canadian superstar's pop mantel once he moved onto more mature things? British X Factor stars One Direction have had a phenomenal 12 months and for a short time it looked as though the pop buying masses may be growing a little tired of young Mr Bieber.

The 18-year-old split from his long-time girlfriend Selena Gomez last week, citing their respective working schedules as the reason. Nobody would have blamed Bieber had he decided against attending the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (November 18, 2012), though there he was, a huge smile on his face, his mother by his side. The Canadian took home all three of the major awards, beating Rihanna, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Drake to be crowned Artist of the Year. He dedicated the win to his mother Pattie Mallette, who was instrumental in getting her son noticed during the early days. "This is for all the haters who thought that maybe I was just here for one or two years, but I feel like I am going to be here for a very long time," later adding, "It's hard growing up with everything going on, with everyone watching me. I wanted to say that as as long as you guys keep believing in me, I want to always make you proud." Bieber also won best pop/rock male artist and best pop/rock album for Believe. It was a peculiar awards' evening, with One Direction expected to dominate. They left empty handed after nominations for pop/rock band, pop/rock album and new artist of the year. Carly Rae Jepsen was the surprise winner of the latter award.

Scary Movie 3 Review

Good
There are lots of ways to churn out sequels, particularly comedies. You can speed along like a runaway train to capitalize on a surprise hit -- Miramax rushed Scary Movie 2 into theaters one year after the original's release -- or you can reset and go for broke. The latter approach seems to be the Scary Movie 3 motive, with new writers and veteran parody director David Zucker (Airplane!, The Naked Gun) joining the fray. For its efforts, Miramax gets a perfectly average movie, with fresh moments, lame retreads, and more opportunity for big box office.

Scary Movie 3 sticks with the program: mind-bogglingly dumb characters hustle their way through spoofs of the industry's most popular recent films. It's no mistake that the roasted movies -- in this case: Signs, The Ring, and 8 Mile -- all pull in huge money and attract a young audience.

Jenny McCarthy Is Struggling To Get Into Amateur Porn

Jenny McCarthy John Asher

Former Playboy model and 1994 'Playmate of the Year', Jenny McCarthy, has tried on multiple occasions to get into the armature porn scene with her husband, John Asher. Unfortunately for her, she states that she never looks as good as she would want, and gets her husband to erase the tapes after she takes a look at them. Her biggest complaint is that she doesn't look like the "a fancy porn star" she wants to.

In an interview with 'FMH' men's magazine, McCarthy talked about filming herself having sex, explaining that: "We've done it maybe three times, but I've made him erase the tape afterwards because I didn't look like a fancy porn star. On the other hand, I've gotten into watching amateur porn lately. It's fan-f**king-tastic - those people are really getting off and you know it's just somebody's friend taping it."
