The former ‘Top Gear’ host isn't afraid to take a swipe at the BBC.
Jeremy Clarkson might have found a new home on Amazon’s streaming service, but that doesn't mean he’s left his past with the BBC completely behind him. In the new advert for the Amazon Fire TV stick, the former ‘Top Gear’ host is shown making fun of his BBC sacking and of course, he’s isn't particularly subtle.
Jeremy Clarkson stars in the new Amazon advert.
The advert shows Clarkson riding in on a segway as he promotes the new Fire TV Stick. "Back in the spring, as you probably remember, I suddenly became unbusy. And that was OK because I had one of these, an Amazon Fire TV stick,” Clarkson says.

It's unlikely, but the criminal investigation case over the incident on the 'Top Gear' Christmas special has been re-opened by an Argentinian court of appeals.
A court in Argentina is re-opening a criminal investigation against Jeremy Clarkson and ‘Top Gear’, with regard to the controversial Christmas special episode set in the South American state, with prosecutors seeking a three-year sentence for the former presenter.
Clarkson and his ‘Top Gear’ colleague Richard Hammond and James May sparked fury in the southern-most province of Tierra Del Fuego in October last year, when Clarkson drove the whole 1,400 mile trip in a red Porsche with the licence plate H982 FKL – taken to be a reference to the Falklands War between Argentina and Britain by irate locals and veterans of the conflict.

But the new presenter has yet to reveal the full line-up
The Top Gear presenting line-up - it’s had more drama than the cobbles of Corrie and the square of Eastenders. Since Jeremy Clarkson had his contract ended with the BBC One show after a fracas with a producer, there’s been rumours (Jodie Kidd), possibilities (Jensen Button) and definite nos (Sue Perkins, who had to quit Twitter after the trolls told her they didn’t want to see her on the show).
Chris Evans has picked a team for the new Top Gear series
Now Chris Evans, the one constant since the trio of Clarkson, May and Hammond left, has revealed that the newest line-up has been picked and there will be “announcements pending”.

Clarkson left ‘Top Gear’ earlier this year, following a fracas with one of the show’s producers.
Jeremy Clarkson has said he considered doing “nothing at all” after his axing from 'Top Gear' earlier this year, until Amazon Prime came to the rescue. Writing in his Sunday Times column, Clarkson also said he had no idea that his co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond would refuse to do the show without him.
Jeremy Clarkson considered doing “nothing at all”, after ‘Top Gear’ axing.
Writing about his feelings in the days after his firing, Clarkson said, “I didn’t really know what I was going to do. A large part of me considering the appealing option of ‘nothing at all’. A smaller part thought I should change tack and do a programme about farming.”

The former ‘Top Gear’ presenter was urged to take a "complete break,” following his firing from the BBC show.
Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he was sent to rehab over the summer, following his sacking from ‘Top Gear’. The presenter said he was ordered to take a "complete break” by doctors, due to the stress of dealing with his exit from the BBC series. Clarkson left the show in March following a much publicised 'fracas' with producer, Oisin Tymon.
Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he entered rehab for stress over the summer.
Writing in his Sunday Times column Clarkson said, 'Back in the summer it was decided by people with serious faces and stethoscopes that I needed a complete break. And they weren't talking about two weeks in the sun with a book, and a million cocktail parties every night. They were talking about a whole month in the Stone Age.’

It's the first time that the disgraced former 'Top Gear' presenter has appeared on the BBC since he was let go back in March.
Jeremy Clarkson has made his first appearance on the BBC since he was sacked from ‘Top Gear’ nearly seven months ago, hosting the satirical panel show ‘Have I Got News From You’ – and, as you might have expected, he was roundly mocked by regulars Paul Merton and Ian Hislop.
The episode was filmed on Thursday and is due to air tonight (Friday October 2nd), and resembles the one-sided panning administered to ‘HIGNFY’s former permanent presenter Angus Deayton way back in 2002. It’s the first time that Clarkson has made any appearance on the Beeb’s television stations since the infamous “fracas” with one of ‘Top Gear’s producers back in March.

'TFI Friday' is returning for 10 more episodes later this year, but after that, Evans will have to concentrate on 'Top Gear'.
‘TFI Friday’ may be returning to Channel 4 later this year after its successful comeback, but its presenter Chris Evans has revealed that after the planned crop of shows he is “not allowed” to present any further series because of his ‘Top Gear’ duties.
The off-the-wall ‘90s favourite returned for a one-off special to celebrate its twentieth anniversary in June this year and was well-received (except for Lewis Hamilton killing the momentum stone dead at the end), but Evans has conceded that his BBC duties must take priority after the planned 10-episode series of ‘TFI Friday’ finishes.

‘Top Gear’ is one of the BBC’s biggest international money makers, but will Chris Evans turn off viewers?
As the BBC prepares to relaunch ‘Top Gear’ bosses are said to be panicking that their new host Chris Evans isn’t internationally famous enough to keep the show’s global audience. ‘Top Gear’ has always been one of the Beeb’s biggest international money makers, but there is concern that Evans’ lack of notoriety might turn off international viewers.
Chris Evans will be fronting the relaunched ‘Top Gear’ next year.

The new Amazon motoring show to be presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May might be getting a rather bizarre title. Legal documents unearthed in a new report suggest that the upcoming show might have the name ‘Gear Knobs’. Okaaaay…
A trademark application, filed two weeks before the former ‘Top Gear’ trio announced their new deal with Amazon’s Prime Instant Video service on July 30th, was discovered by BuzzFeed. This suggests that Clarkson and co. will not only be sticking with the kind of laddish humour that’s made them globally popular, but have also decided to annoy their former BBC employers in the process.

The model was hotly tipped to join the revamped show’s new line-up.
Former model Jodie Kidd has revealed she’s turned down a presenting job on the new series of ‘Top Gear’ saying that she feared the gig would ‘take over her soul’. Kidd had been the favourite to join Chris Evans and become the show’s first female presenter but now it seems Zoe Ball could be joining the line-up instead.
Model Jodie Kidd will not be ‘Top Gear’s’ new presenter.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Kidd confirmed a woman would definitely be joining the new ‘Top Gear’ but added that it will not be her. “Am I doing it? I am not," she told the newspaper. “I feel greatly honoured that people think I could possibly be good enough to fill those shoes, especially as a woman.”

There’ll be no need to put the stars in reasonably price cars over on Amazon...
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, the former ‘Top Gear’ trio, last week announced they’d signed a deal with Amazon Prime to front a new motoring show on the streaming service. But for those wondering how much it cost Amazon to nab the three presenters, the answer is reportedly a whopping £160 million.
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are headed to Amazon with a new series.
Yes according to former 'Top Gear' producer Andy Wilman, who has also jumped ship with the trio, Amazon reportedly promised the presenters a budget of £160 million to lure them away from competitors such as Netflix.

Wilman left along with Richard Hammond and James May after Jeremy Clarkson's sacking from the BBC earlier in 2015, but believes Chris Evans is the best choice to continue with the popular British show.
He may be following Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May out of the BBC to help with the trio’s new Amazon Prime show, but executive producer Andy Wilman has given his backing to ‘Top Gear’s new presenter Chris Evans.
While speaking to Broadcast magazine about the new show, Wilman was asked for his thoughts on what was going on back at the BBC with what remains of ‘Top Gear’. He said that he was satisfied with Evans’ appointment in June this year, as it demonstrated that the Beeb are serious about breathing new life into it, after he and Clarkson brought it back to the network in 2002.

The ex-'Top Gear' trio have a new home on Amazon Prime, and the as-yet-untitled show will be launching in 2016.
Former ‘Top Gear’ hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have finally decided where they’ll be making their new motoring show. The ex-BBC trio have signed up with Amazon’s streaming video service ‘Amazon Prime’, with the first commissioned series due in 2016.
Speculation has been rife as to where their new home would be, following their departure from the BBC Two show earlier in 2015 after Clarkson’s now-infamous ‘fracas’ in March when he assaulted one of the show’s producers. Netflix, Sky and ITV had all been touted as strong possibilities in the last few months, but the US giant appears to beaten all of them to their signatures.

The regulator has cleared the BBC over any wrongdoing over the episode which aired in February of last year.
Ofcom has cleared BBC motoring series ‘Top Gear’ of breaching broadcasting codes after they received complains following an episode in which presenter Jeremy Clarkson held up a sign saying ‘Pikey’s Peak’. The complaint was made by The Traveller Movement who claimed the word ‘pikey’ was an ‘offensive and derogatory term for Gypsies and Travellers’.

However the regulator found that the reference was more likely to be interpreted by viewers as a comment about Richard Hammond and his Vauxhall Nova car rather than insulting the Gypsie or Traveller community.

Could Clarkson be about to front a new motoring show across the pond?
Jeremy Clarkson’s lawyers might just have found away to get around the BBC’s attempts to stop the presenter from brining a new 'Top Gear'-style show to ITV. A clause in Clarkson’s contract reportedly prevents him and his ‘Top Gear’ co-presenters James May and Richard Hammond from working for a rival terrestrial British broadcaster for at least the next two years, but lawyers might just have discovered a loophole that could see them back on our screens.
Jeremy Clarkson’s BBC contract reportedly stops him from making a series to rival ‘Top Gear’.
According The Sunday Mirror Clarkson is busy trying to get around the contractual ban by making a new show in America and then selling the programme to other broadcasters worldwide including ITV in the UK.

Clarkson said he was asked to come back to the motoring show, but BBC boss Tony Hall seems to disagree.
BBC Director General Lord Tony Hall has denied the corporation ever asked Jeremy Clarkson to return as the host of ‘Top Gear’, after the presenter claimed he was offered the gig but turned it down. Clarkson had said he had met with a BBC executive last week, who'd asked him to rejoin the show, but that he'd declined saying 'too much had gone on'.
Jeremy Clarkson says he was asked to return as ‘Top Gear’ host.
Appearing on BBC One’s ‘The Andrew Marr Show’ on Sunday, Lord Hall denied Clarkson’s claims saying, "I have no idea what all that's about…I made it absolutely clear when I said we were going to part company that that was it.”
