The actor, who turned 50 last year (15) has been linked to a string of beautiful women, including with Mad Men star January Jones and model/actress Kelly Brook.

He is currently single, but reportedly doesn't want to stay that way as he's signed up to the exclusive dating app Raya.

Bosses at Raya determine who can join by how many followers someone has on the photo-sharing network Instagram and how they influence them.

"Jeremy has slept with some of the most beautiful women on the planet so it was a surprise to see that he needs to use a dating app," a source tells British newspaper The Sun. "He is an active user and has been messaging one or two different girls on it.

"The process to get membership on Raya is quite rigorous so he was obviously very keen to make sure he was accepted. Obviously Jeremy is like any other single guy and just wants to have some fun."

Earlier this year (16) the Mr Selfridge star admitted that he would like to settle down and have children.

"I would love to have a big family," he told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "I'm from a family of four that felt right - a boy and a girl. There are a lot of people who work all the time who have families."

Broody Jeremy isn't the only celebrity to sign up to the app, which is targeted at people in the creative industries.

Other stars who have supposedly searched for that special someone on the app include supermodel Cara Delevingne, Elijah Wood and Friends star Matthew Perry.

Those who want to apply for Raya membership must be referred by an existing member, approved by bosses and then are judged on their social media fame.
