The Avengers star is an aspiring singer/songwriter and plays instruments including the guitar and drums, and he has previously performed songs for a number of his films including North Country and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

Jeremy is now working on his first full-scale musical project, but has yet to confirm when it will hit shelves.

"He is recording, but (there is) no date or plans as to when this might be released," his representative tells New York Post gossip column Page Six.

The news comes just days after Jeremy showed off his singing by taking to the stage at a venue in New York City on Tuesday (20Oct15) to perform with a band called Brother Sal.

Jeremy reportedly sang The House of the Rising Sun in front of a star-studded crowd which included Lucy Liu, Laverne Cox and Kelly Rutherford.

"He has a really good voice. It's surprising," a source tells Page Six. "Jeremy said he's been singing every day for the last few weeks. And he's planning to release an album."

Jeremy will be following in the footsteps of fellow Hollywood actor Johnny Depp, who also juggles his movie career with musical projects, and is currently performing with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry in a group called Hollywood Vampires. They released their self-titled debut album last month (Sep15).
