A representative for Jim Jones is adamant the star's arrest in New York on Monday morning (27Feb12) was a misunderstanding as the embattled rapper does not have a suspended driving licence.
The hip-hop star was detained by cops and booked for driving on a suspended licence, just days after he was taken into custody for his part in a brawl at a Connecticut casino.
However, a rep for Jones is adamant the driving charge will be "thrown out" as the rapper has not had any troubles with his licence.
The spokesperson also insists Jones was a passenger in the car, which had been parked while the driver stopped at a store to pick up groceries.
Jones is said to have only stepped behind the wheel when cops asked him to move the car in the absence of the driver, and it was then the star was detained, according to Tmz.com.
The rep tells the website, "Jim does not have a suspended licence... (He was) very cool and respectable (during the incident)... It'll all be thrown out."
