Fact: The last Los Angeles home of The Doors frontman Jim Morrison has gone on the market. He lived on the top floor of an apartment building in West Hollywood with girlfriend Pam Courson between 1970 and 1971, and now the whole building is being listed for sale this month (May16) for $3.5 million (£2.4 million). Morrison reportedly gave his last ever interview there in 1971, the year he died, aged 27.

Fact: Actor James Gandolfini's SOPRANOS' wardrobe will be auctioned alongside Janis Joplin's mugshot, poems handwritten by late rocker Jim Morrison, and a cane owned by Elvis Presley with a brass eagle top that can be removed to reveal a hidden dagger. The New York auction - set for 25 June (08) - will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, which offers help and assistance to U.S. soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
