A Lost Punk Tune Comedian John Belushi Recorded With Los Angeles Group Fear Months Before His Death In 1982 Is Set To Be Released 34 Years Later.
The Animal House star's widow gave Fear frontman Lee Ving permission to complete the track, Neighbors, which was originally recorded for Belushi's 1981 film of the same name, but cut from the soundtrack.
Ving remixed the track at Dave Grohl's studio in Los Angeles and plans to release it as Fear's next single.
He tells Rolling Stone, "We're proud of it."
Fear became infamous after snarling their way through a performance on Belushi's TV sketch show Saturday Night Live in 1981. Their behaviour on the programme upset producers and they were banned for life, but Ving and Belushi became great pals.
