John Corbett is reprising his role as Aidan in the second 'Sex And The City' movie.

Aidan - Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker)'s ex-boyfriend in the television series - meets up with his old flame in scenes filmed in Morocco last year, John has confirmed.

He told the Ellen Degeneres Show: "These rumours started about seven months ago because somebody took a picture of me in Morocco.

"I felt really bad because for the last six months every time somebody said, 'Are you in this movie?', I had to lie about it.

"I just found out I'm going to be in the trailer so I get to break the news... Aidan gets to come back to 'Sex and the City'."

Aidan appeared in the third series of the television comedy, but left Carrie when she cheated on him with her ex-boyfriend , who she goes on to marry in the first movie.

John refused to confirm any further details about the movie - which tells the tale of four New Yorkers played by Sarah Jessica, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

Penelope Cruz, Miley Cyrus and Liza Minnelli also play cameos in the second movie.

'Sex and the City 2' is released at the end of May.
