Actor Jon Cryer has signed a deal to pen a memoir scheduled for Spring 2015 publisher New American Library, a Penguin imprint, announced, via THR. The Two and a Half Men star's relationship with former co-star Charlie Sheen will undoubtedly feature in the tell-all autobiography.

Jon Cryer Has A "Candid" Memoir In The Works.

"In these times of truly global crisis when fear is outracing hope, I think we can all be grateful that the guy who played Duckie in Pretty in Pink is writing a book. It'll be filled with just what you'd expect from me; juicy tidbits on international monetary policy, catty comments regarding agriculture in Central Asia and, of course, forbidden anecdotes about stamp collecting. And maybe I'll talk about Charlie Sheen.." he said in a statement.

The 48 year-old television star, who is best known for his role as Alan Harper in the hit CBS comedy, will apparently include aspects of life in showbiz. New American Library promises that the actor "will open up about friendships and relationships, pay tribute to his mentors and offer readers a front-row seat as he reminisces about his life and experiences in showbiz over the last 30 years."

Cryer and Sheen were co-stars on the sitcom, which is now in its 12th season, until Sheen's character, Charlie Harper, was killed off in season nine. The network cited "moral turpitude" as the cause of the troublesome actor's dismissal after Sheen slated the show's creator Chuck Lorre in an interview. Combined with substance abuse and other erratic behaviour, the incident has made Sheen one of Hollywood's most infamous figures.

It is not known how much Cryer will be willing to say on the subject but the actor definitely knows a thing or two about Sheen and another Two and a Half Men star, Demi Moore. Cryer has had a pretty interesting life himself; the NYC-born actor, producer and director is known by older generations for his "Duckie" role in the 1986 movie, Pretty In Pink.

After catching his break in a Broadway play where he landed the role because he looked like Matthew Broderick, the actor who he replaced, Cryer enjoyed a steady but sure rise to fame by starring in films and television shows. He is currently married to entertainment reporter Lisa Joyner and the couple have an adoptied young daughter. Jon Cryer's memoir is expected in Spring 2015, published by New American Library.
