The Jonas Brothers were forced to call off a show in New York on Friday night (19Jul13) due to dangerous weather conditions.

The band was set to take to the stage at the Darien Center, but high winds and lightning prompted them to cancel the gig over health and safety concerns.

A post on the brothers' Twitter feed reads, "Hi everyone - sorry we had to postpone tonight's show due to weather! Please seek safe shelter & stay tuned for new date & more info!!

"Again, sorry we had to cancel our show 2nite (tonight), but care about the safety of everyone."

It is the second time this summer (13) the siblings have been forced to axe a concert due to bad weather - their Fourth of July performance in Florida was a wash-out due to torrential rain.
