Oscar-winning director Jonathan Demme is set to give an upcoming concert by country star Kenny Chesney the Hollywood treatment for a new Internet concert.
The Never Wanted Nothing More singer is the latest artist to take part in the American Express Unstaged music series, which will see his show streamed live online for fans around the world.
The Silence of the Lambs filmmaker will be taking charge of the cameras when Chesney hits the stage in New Jersey on 20 June (12) and the musician is excited about the creative new venture.
He tells the Associated Press, "I think it's a unique situation for both of us because odds are we never would have worked together without this thing, you know? And I think it's a good thing. I love meeting and working with people who can push me and inspire me creatively in a different way.
"I think that all creative people look for inspiration. That's the thing I'm looking forward to the most about this, because it is left of centre and it is combining two worlds."
Previous American Express Unstaged shows have featured Arcade Fire, John Legend & The Roots, Coldplay and Mary J. Blige, whose November (11) gig in Los Angeles was directed by her Rock of Ages filmmaker Adam Shankman.
