Movie star Josh Hutcherson has his sights set on directing after creating a production company with his mum.
The Kids Are All Right actor, who will be among the stars of this summer's (12) blockbuster The Hunger Games, is pouring over scripts and ideas with a view to making his debut as a filmmaker.
He tells Nylon magazine, "I've always wanted to get behind the camera, but it takes a lot of time.I don't want to just go direct a movie and then hand it off to the editor. I want to do pre-production for three months, then production, then post (production) for five months, and edit it myself.
"So finding that time is important to me. I don't want to half-a** it."
Hutcherson is keen to adapt Kate Morgenroth's young adult novel Echo for the big screen. He also hopes to direct and star in the project.
