The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson may as well get used to the attention - his new movie is expected to smash records set by Twilight and Harry Potter when it opens at the box-office this weekend. The movie - about children who are forced to fight to the death - is easily one of the most anticipated of the year, and attention is solely focused on its young star.

Hutcherson plays one of two young men vying for the attention of leading lady Katniss Everdeen - played by Jennifer Lawrence. Comparisons with Robert Pattinson are already being made and Josh admits he's finding the fan experience breath-taking, telling MTV News, "We've seen some insane signs [across fan tours] Is that a loaf of bread in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?' Funny stuff along those lines. Very original. One just said, 'I will do unspeakable things.' I thought that was very interesting ... and mildly terrifying!". Alongside his co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence, Hutcherson attended the U.S premiere of the movie at the Nokia Theatre this week - the trio were greeted by thousands of screaming fans.

It's almost a certainty that the Hunger Games will become a huge grossing franchise and Hutcherson already has his sights set on the future. When asked which scene he's most excited to film, the actor said, "For me, in the third book, when Peeta gets brainwashed by the Capitol, that's going to be fun to play. The rest of the time he's very much into Katniss, and for that to get turned around and to play it the other way, that's going to be very exciting"
