The movie, starring Dame Judi Dench and Bill Nighy, took $3 million (£1.9 million) over the weekend (06-08Mar15), holding off competition from Will Smith's conman movie Focus, which rose one place to second, with takings of $2 million (£1.3 million).

Erotic drama Fifty Shades of Grey dropped a position to third, with box office receipts of $1.7 million (£1.1 million), just ahead of newly-released sci-fi thriller Chappie, which took $1.6 million (£1 million).

The top five was rounded out by Big Hero 6, which dropped from fourth to fifth, with ticket sales of $1.3 million (£820,000).
