Julia Sweeney, who voices Ms. Squibbles in 'Monsters University', talks about the movie in a New York promotional interview in which she discusses interacting with director Dan Scanlon, the movie's message and also offers advice on dealing with cancer.
Asked if she got to interact with other actors, she says she didn't but did find director Dan easy to bounce off. 'He was really animated himself and I played off of him and that was really exciting', she says. Asked what the message of the movie is, she says: 'I would say overall, without giving anything away, is that there are many ways to become successful in life and it's not always just the straight path that you've always heard is the right way.' She is also asked about her battle with cancer 15 years ago and offers some advice. 'I guess that the advice would be, one day at a time like we all should be doing anyway whether you have cancer or not', she says.
