Julianne Hough, the Hollywood actress and dancer, has revealed how she was physically and mentally abused during a five-year scholarship in London when just 10-years-old. Hough - the girlfriend of media mogul Ryan Seacrest - told Cosmopolitan magazine that her time at the Italia Conti Academy of the Arts turned into a nightmare after she had made the long journey from Utah.

"I was abused, mentally, physically, everything," she explained, adding that it got worse "when I started hitting puberty, when I started becoming a woman and stopped being a little girl." The 24-year-old, who recently rode out Superstorm Sandy in a New York hotel room, said, "I was told if I ever went back to the United States, three things were going to happen. One: I was going to amount to nothing. Two: I was going to work at Whataburger. And three: I was going to end up a slut. So, it was like, I can't go back. I have to be this person."

Of course, Hough returned to her native USA and rose to become one of the most popular dancers in the country. In recent years, she's made high profile movie appearances (Footloose, Rock of Ages) and stars opposite Josh Duhamel in Safe Haven, a new romance that hits cinemas on Valentine's Day.
