It is easy to tell just by looking at Julianne Hough that she likes to keep fit and healthy, but surprisingly there is more to her fitness regime then just learning all those intense and complex routines on 'Dancing With the Stars.'

Hough recently revealed her intense training regime

Hough, who is now a judge on the hit dancing competition show, came up with other ways to stay in shape than just dancing every day. As well as trying to sleep eight hours a day and eating a healthy breakfast, the 26 year-old star has other tricks up her sleeve.

"Morning is my favorite time to exercise," she told the December issue of Shape magazine. "I like to shock my body by doing different things. When I was on tour, even though I was dancing two hours a night, I felt I needed more, so I started doing dance moves with ankle or wrist weights on."

But Hough did admit to the mag that her "hot-body plan" consists of hard work on a daily schedule.

However, the dedication to achieve her desirable figure translates to when she is trying out for a role on the big screen.

"I'm actually a closeted hair and makeup artist and really enjoy doing it all myself. If I'm reading for a part, I'll transform myself into the character," she explained. "I love the whole process and always tell my agents: 'Put me in the room-I'll audition for anything.' That's my motto."
