He was roundly booed after performing twice and receiving two awards, but Justin Bieber was no doubt a significant factor in ABC's telecast of the Billboard Music Awards drawing its best ratings in 12 years Sunday night. The three-hour show averaged 9.47 million viewers and a 3.6 rating/10 share among the key 18-49 age group. It clobbered the competition, including several season finales, which saw season lows or near-lows. An exception was NBC's two-hour Celebrity Apprentice wrap-up, in which Donald Trump named country singer Trace Adkins the winner, which recorded 5.26 million viewers -- its best result in five weeks but nevertheless well off its average ratings of last season. Trump has announced that NBC has renewed the show; NBC has yet to confirm his announcement.
