Hundreds of Justin Bieber fans, also known as ’Beliebers’, took to the streets of Buenos Aires over the weekend, to protest Argentina’s ban on the singer entering the country. The fans marched towards the city’s Palace of Justice, while singing Justin’s songs and holding banners reading, “Argentina Needs Justin” and “Right To Music”.

The country’s ban on Bieber dates back to a 2013 incident, where the singer was accused of sending bodyguards to attack a photographer outside a Buenos Aires nightclub. According to Sky News an Argentinian judge has said there is enough evidence against the singer to question him and maybe even stop him from leaving the country.

Also in 2013 Bieber was forced to issue an apology after he was caught on film kicking an Argentinian flag off the stage during a concert in Buenos Aires. At the time he claimed he didn't realise it was a flag and told fans on twitter: ‘I would never do anything to disrespect Argentina or the people of Argentina or the fans.’

Justin was also accused of disrespecting Argentina’s flag last month after he was allegedly seen throwing it out of his car window in New York.

Speaking to The Sun, Bieber fan Oriana Chiodi, 16, who travelled for two hours to be in the march, said: “If the judge has a heart, if he has a little blood in his veins, then he has to remove the complaint.”

After learning of the march Bieber told fans on twitter: “Argentinian beliebers I would like nothing more than to bring the #purposetour there but the Argentinian government won't allow it. So sorry. If things were to change I would love to come but at this time I cannot. For everyone else in South America I look forward to seeing you.”
