Since the break-up of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez the focus on the 18 year old has been largely on his personal life rather than his career. However, lately though, with the release of his acoustic album and his elision from the upcoming Grammys, focus is back where it should be.
Justin's manager Scooter Braun took to Twitter to air his disgust with the Grammys for ignoring the young star back December. "[T]his time there wont be any wise words, no excuses, I just plain DISAGREE," he said. "The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one."
In an interview with Billboard Bieber admitted to agreeing with his manager, but that his feelings of disappointment has nothing to do with how he feels about his fellow artists. "I'm so happy for the other artists who got nominated and have won Grammys. I'm 18 and I think that I have a lot ahead of me, so I'm not worried." Adding that he was supporting Chris Brown in the awards, "I'm a fan. His music is really good. That's what they should focus on: the music."
While the focus should be on the music, in Bieber's own words, his personal life still invades his music as his latest song 'Nothing Like Us' has been written about his ex, Selena. "I'm not in the happiest place that I've ever been," he told Billboard. And of the song? "[A]t the end of the day, there's nothing like us, you know? That's just it. It is what it is."
