Because of that, every few minutes of the series are tense and packed full of suspense. This is a man who has been shot and poisoned, drowned and more; in fact, we'd be surprised if he managed to make it to the end of season 3 without facing some of his biggest challenges so far.

Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston reportedly gave the press a bit of PDA at the Governor’s Ball on Saturday. Being, you know, engaged, it’s no surprise that the couple were quite affectionate on the red carpet. What we should all be more concerned with is how sharp both of them looked on Saturday. Theroux was dressed in the classic black suit and tie (as immortalised by Justin Timberlake).

Theroux is a longtime fan of the look.

Aniston meanwhile, opted for a tan dress with black lace detailing. Her hair was pulled back in a sleek, elegant updo. Basically, they matched perfectly in style and colour palette and it was adorable.

Now that The Leftovers is on its second episode, it’s time to proceed with the (very spoilery) recap f this episode’s key events. In the second episode, Penguin 1, Us Zero, we begin to see that Police Chief Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux, might be more than a little unhinged. Judging by his collection of pill bottles and his erratic behavior, which has led all of Mapleton to suspect him for the recent spree of dog murders, Kevin can’t really be trusted, no more than anyone else in this shady town.

Meanwhile, things get heated at Wayne Gilchrest Jr. aka Holly Wayne’s camp. Wayne has been convicted of statutory rape before, due to his penchant for teenage girls. But that was back in Philadelphia. Here in Mapleton, he’s made a name for himself since the departure – as the guy who can “hug the pain out of people.” He’s also doing his thing with underage girls though, so when the FBI storm his ranch on an anonymous tip, we know this was a long time coming. The agents shoot at everyone, who isn’t a teenage girl.

We're not going to go into the ending of Lost. It was clearly ridiculous and Damon Lindelof was burned badly by the backlash. Most would agree that the final two seasons of the show were so poorly put together that it was almost impossible to conclude with a coherent finale.

The first episode was melancholy and slow moving and left critics a little bemused. However, as Mark A. Perigard of the Boston Herald pointed out, we may as well strap ourselves in for a long, complex ride because Lindelof just isn't going to try do any explaining.

And while some claim it was the hand of God – The Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16, when the "dead in Christ" and "we who are alive and remain" will be "caught up in the clouds" to meet "the Lord in the air") the characters in this new HBO drama are just as lost as each other – faith or not faith.

"I can't honestly say I make that, but I do make some Rice Krispies treats and hot chocolate. My best hostess tip is to have good food and really good music! Amidst reports that their relationship is on the rocks, Jennifer Aniston was on hand to throw one heck of a distraction as she lavished her hubby Justin Theroux with gifts and visits from his famous friends as the actor celebrated his 42nd birthday this weekend.

Jennifer Aniston said thumbs down to a classic bridal up-do for her marriage ceremony with fiancé Justin Theroux, but thumbs up to a traditional veil.

With rumours circling that the former 'Friends' star and her partner have put all wedding plans on hold due to work commitments, Jennifer has, at least, more time to contemplate her perfect hairstyle for the big day. 'For my wedding, I wouldn't do an updo, but I think a veil is always pretty', she muses in an interview with Marie Claire. 'I like loose and natural hair because it goes against the formality of the dress. Loose, like 'I just got out of bed, maybe had a romp' hair.' The actress' stylist added, 'I plan to do her hair three hours early, and hopefully she'll have a romp in bed before the ceremony.'

Romping aside, it doesn't sound as though much of that will be going on at the moment with both Jen and Justin currently working on separate movie projects and both attempting to renovate their Bel-Air home. 'They need to figure out a way to create a life that makes them both happy', a source told People, but assured them that their plans were still in the works as, 'Jen can't wait to be [Justin's] wife.'

It’s been nearly a year since Jennifer Aniston’s engagement to Justin Theroux, but the couple don’t appear to be any closer to tying the knot, than they were back then. Of course, some couples just opt for a longer engagement (Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus come to mind,) however, according to PEOPLE, Jen and Justin were planning to get hitched this spring, those plans have just changed unexpectedly. But just because they apparently want to get married, doesn’t mean there aren’t other things to consider – mostly, that both actors are extremely busy at the moment. Both Aniston and Theroux have acting projects lined up for the coming weeks. Additionally, construction on the couple’s Bel Air mansion has also been delayed. So the reason the wedding isn’t going ahead as planned is just that, well, nothing else is either. Apparently celebrities experience scheduling conflicts just like the rest of us. One thing is certain though - the couple aren't delaying the wedding because of relationship trouble. Guess we can all breathe easy now.

Just like any Hollywood celebrity worth their salt, Jennifer Aniston is using yoga to prepare for her hugely anticipated wedding. The 44-year-old former Friends star said the discipline is something that helps her keep calm, telling E! "Yoga kinda helps you prepare for everything. Honestly, it's like meditation.It just allows anything that is coming at you throughout the day to be kind of doable."

Aniston made the comments as she attended the launch of.wait for it.her yoga instructors Mandy Ingber's new book Yogalosophy: 28 Days To the Ultimate Mind-Body Makeover. The Along Came Polly actress got engaged to screenwriter and actor Justin last August and speculation as to possible nuptials is reaching fever pitch. The couple were recently forced to deny claims they would be tying the knot in Hawaii and have been keeping tight lipped about any planned date, though speculation suggests it could happen this summer. 

Aniston was keen to get away from the subject of marriage and onto yoga at Tuesday's bash, saying, "We were a lot rounder [before Yoga]. We ate terribly. We did that, and then we sort of grew up a little bit more and we got jobs." She has previously explained, "Yoga strengthens my muscles and gives me a great sense of peace and calm. It also improves my breathing and centres me.I usually follow yoga with about 40 minutes of cardio - hiking, running or at the gym,' the star said in 2010," according to the UK's Daily Mail.

Jennifer Aniston made sure that Jimmy Kimmel had a smashing start to his show, when it debuted at the new timeslot of 11:35pm (shifted from 12:05 to ramp up the competition with Jay Leno).

Aniston, apparently mistakenly believing that she was appearing on the last show of the old time slot, rather than the first show of the new time slot, smashed up Kimmel’s desk with a sledgehammer, wearing protective goggles and ear defenders.

Staggering across the stage area in heels and a peplum dress, Aniston feigned surprise when Kimmel explained that she had, in fact, smashed up his new desk before the two of them joked, in some kind of tail-chasing-mock-ironic manner about what a ridiculous situation that was and why none of the show’s staff had stopped Aniston from entering the stage with a sledgehammer.

Whether he's being a complete Focker, has semen hanging from his ear, or suffering terribly after eating a curry, Ben Stiller has delighted us all with laugh-out-loud roles and movies for decades (yeah, we are that old! Reality Bites... is almost 20 years old). So it seems apt that he be awarded and congratulated for all that he's done for comedy. On hand to celebrate him personally were celebrity power couple, Justin Theroux, who has worked with Stiller for a long time, and his new fiancée Jennifer Aniston.

Aniston showed off her enormous engagement rock to her friends when they showed up, reports E!. Aniston gave a tribute in person, as well as appearing in her husband-to-be's own tribute, but comedically refusing to comment on the video that Theroux had made, saying that she'd be there in person- which she was, as reported by People. Aniston's own offering was a montage of Stiller's romantic scenes. 

Introducing the video she said: "All right, I'm here to introduce what every lady in this room has been waiting for. And that would be Ben Stiller's lover package. Ben's package is surprisingly large, very expansive, and its lasting power speaks for itself. It spans the length of his manhood - from boyish rogue in Reality Bites, to tender husband and father in the Focker flicks." Continuing, "He is adorable. He's sensitive. He's shockingly ripped. And if you don't believe me, I'd suggest pulling out your iPhone and Google-ing 'Stiller Hawaii beach.' Trust me, it's intense." We googled. He's totally ripped.
