Jay Z’s got everything. Men want to be him, women want to be with him, pop stars want to go on tour with him! (Yes we realise we’ve made ‘pop star’ sound like a third gender there). That’s right, according to reports none other than Justin Timberlake could be the latest to hitch his ride to the Jay Z touring juggernaut, as the returning pop star evidently seeks to further the rapport the two built up when recording his comeback track ‘Suit & Tie’.
Nothing’s been confirmed at this stage, but the New York Post seems pretty confident that the pair are lining up a 10 city long tour, citing a couple of comments on the Grammys red carpet and also the fact that they were sitting together at the event. A sure sign. Jay Z goes on tour with everyone he sits next to, nearby, or in the vague vicinity of. “We’re definitely going to go on tour . . . I don’t know how much I should say . . . It’s going to be a lot of fun, I know that” said Timberlake cryptically to the press, refusing to confirm whether he meant ‘we’ to be Jay Z. Given they’d not long performed together on stage at the Grammys, you reckon it may well be.
Of course we all remember that time Jay Z toured with Coldplay for a little while. Quite the mutual love in it was. We reckon there’d be some similar scenes going down this time out.
