The Disappointments Room Trailer

After the tragic loss of their daughter, Dana and David move with their son to a new home in a bid to have a fresh start. The house is big and beautiful and in a fantastic rural location but it's run down and has obviously been neglected for years before they owned it.

Though the house needs much restoration work the family decide to move in.

As they all settle down, Diana loves her new house but feels a dark and intriguing presence that draws her to explore every corner of the new property. As Diana begins to investigate the building she goes up into the attic and discovers a locked door. Finally finding a key to the lost room, Diana opens it and unleashes a spirit that's been forcefully held behind the locked door. What Diana comes to learn is that the house was formerly owned by a cruel judge who locked away his daughter in the disappointment room.

Love and Friendship - Trailer and Clips

Lady Susan has a reputation that precedes her. She's a professional flirt who men flock toward. Having lost her husband, Lady Susan is out to find herself a wealthy new groom and one - perhaps slightly less well off - for her daughter who doesn't have her mother's knack for enticing suitors.

When Lady Susan visits the home of her late husband's relatives, it doesn't take long for her to woo a few too many men - both married and single - and the rumour mill is in full swing. Lady Susan knows exactly what she wants in a man but finding someone with the right assets for her and another person for her daughter might just be too much.

Love & Friendship is based on the Jane Austen novella 'Lady Susan' and will be in cinemas from May 2016.

Kate Beckinsale Says She Didn't Fit Michael Bay's 'Type' When Cast In 'Pearl Harbour'

Kate Beckinsale Michael Bay

Kate Beckinsale has revealed how Pearl Harbour director Michael Bay felt she didn’t fit the body type he was looking for and ordered her to lose weight if she wanted the role. Speaking on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ Beckinsale also said that the director constantly said she was cast because she wasn't “so attractive” during the promotion of the film.

Kate BeckinsaleKate Beckinsale says she was told to ‘work out’ for Pearl Harbour role.

“I don’t think I fitted the type of actress Michael Bay, the director, had met before. I think he was baffled by me because my boobs weren’t bigger than my head and I wasn’t blonde,” Beckinsale said.

Love & Friendship Review

Extraordinary

Acclaimed filmmaker Whit Stillman reunites the stars of his 1998 drama The Last Days of Disco, Kate Beckinsale and Chloe Sevigny, for what might be the most entertaining big-screen Jane Austen adaptation ever. Based on her novella Lady Susan, this is a lacerating social comedy packed with hugely engaging characters. It brilliantly captures Austen's gift for crisply astute comedy, giving everyone in the gifted cast a chance to shine.

Set in 1790s England, the story centres on Lady Susan (Beckinsale), who has been recently widowed and now needs to sort out a hopefully lucrative future. First, she sets out to find a wealthy, dim-witted man to marry her spoiled daughter Frederica (Morfydd Clark), and the dorky Sir James (Tom Bennett) is the perfect candidate. For herself, she sets her sights on the gorgeous, gullible Reginald (Xavier Samuel), the younger brother of her sister-in-law Catherine (Emma Greenwell), who's the only person who can see through Susan's scheming. Through all of this, Susan's only confidant is her American friend Alicia (Sevigny), who is sensibly married to an older man (Stephen Fry). And of course, Susan's plans simply refuse to go as she expects.

Beckinsale is terrific in the role as a sexy cougar who keeps all the men around her happy with blatant flattery. She understands the way to a man's heart, and isn't afraid to exploit everyone around her to make sure that she and Frederica are set up for life. Beckinsale gets this balance of charm and contempt exactly right, and her riotously sharp wit easily wins over the audience. The cast around her is just as good, engaging with Susan in fabulous wordplay, unable to resist being manipulated by her charisma. As the two targets of Susan's strategy, Bennett and Samuel are particularly strong. Bennett's bumbling James is simply the funniest thing on-screen this year, while Samuel manages to keep Reginald sweetly charming and never dull.

Kate Beckinsale And Michael Sheen Recreate Daughter's Birth Shot

Kate Beckinsale Michael Sheen

Just adorable. Kate Beckinsale has enlisted her ex-partner and close friend Michael Sheen to recreate the 1999 birth photo of their daughter Lily Mo - despite said child now being 16 to 17-years-old. Sometimes even the biggest of stars can get a bit silly where their children are concerned.

Kate BeckinsaleKate Beckinsale hasn't changed much since 1999

The photo sees Lily cuddling up to her mother with her eyes closed in a perfect mirroring of her birth shot. Beckinsale posted the photo alongside the original on Twitter and Instagram today (May 18th 2016), captioning it: 'Always a baby to me #Lily'. However, she did allude to it being a joke by adding: 'See more tonight on 'The Late Late Show'' (a comedy show hosted by British presenter James Corden).

Chilwell in Nottinghamshire received a touch of Hollywood glamour yesterday after actress Kate Beckinsale landed to pay her respects to her late father, English comic actor Richard Beckinsale. There must be an acting 'gene' in the Beckinsale family with Kate's mother, Judy Loe, an actress as well as her sister, Samantha, who has starred in ITV's London's Burning. The Porridge actor's family were joined by fellow stars Michael Sheen and David Walliams in a plaque-unveiling celebration at Beckinsale's family College House Junior School in Chilwell.

Contraband Review

Weak
There isn't a single moment in this film that feels authentic, as cast and crew charge hardheadedly through a ludicrous series of obstacles that would be comical if the film wasn't so insistent on grunting with explosive machismo every step of the way.

Chris (Wahlberg) is a notorious smuggler who has gone straight to have a quiet life with his wife Kate (Beckinsale) and their two young kids. But when Kate's brother (Jones) falls afoul of New Orleans thug Briggs (Ribisi), Chris and his pal Sebastian (Foster) have to plan "one last job" to get the family off the hook. This involves Chris and Andy travelling by ship to Panama to collect counterfeit bills from a crazy dealer (Luna), then furtively returning to America. But of course nothing goes to plan.

Beckinsale 'Proud' Wiseman And Sheen Get Along

Kate Beckinsale Len Wiseman Michael Sheen

Actress Kate Beckinsale has praised her husband Len Wiseman and the father of her child Michael Sheen for not letting their pride interfere with the welfare of her daughter LILY.
The English beauty had Lily in 1999 while she was in a relationship with her Underworld co-star Sheen - but she ended their longterm romance in 2003 after falling for the vampire film's director Wiseman.
Beckinsale and Wiseman married a year later (04) and they now live in Los Angeles with nine-year-old Lily.
And the 34-year-old is glad both she and Wiseman have remained on good terms with Sheen, because it means her daughter can enjoy the best of both worlds with her parents.
She tells Britain's OK! magazine, "I've been very lucky to have two marvellous men in Len and Michael, they've got no awkward feelings about parenting Lily and working things out.
"It's so sad when adults can't find it in themselves to get along for the sake of a child. I'm very proud of both of them that they haven't let any potential awkwardness or strangeness affect our little family. I kknow some women who aren't so fortunate and whose children suffer as a result."

A late night detour leads to an unimaginable nightmare when an estranged couple's car breaks down on a remote country road. Finding themselves stranded on a dark and deserted two-lane highway, David Fox (Luke Wilson) and his soon-to-be ex-wife Amy (Kate Beckinsale) are forced to spend the night at a seedy motel run by an odd but seemingly harmless proprietor (Frank Whaley).

Click Review

Bad
It seems only fitting that Adam Sandler, who has made a career of being the quintessential every-guy, would pilot a movie about the greatest invention for men -- the remote control. But Click isn't about the eternal struggle for who controls the all powerful remote. Instead, it's about all of the trouble Sandler can cause with this seemingly uncomplicated little device.

Sandler plays Michael, a workaholic architect who spends more time satisfying the whims of his demanding boss (David Hasselhoff) than he does with his family. Michael cancels camping trips with his kids and rushes (foolishly) through love-making sessions with his wife Donna (Kate Beckinsale) just so he can inch closer to that partnership he covets. Michael is out of control and out of the loop on everything going on at home. He can't even distinguish his television remote from the one that controls his garage.

Underworld: Evolution Review

Weak
If current cinema is to be believed, everywhere we humans are not looking, vampires, werewolves, advanced machines, and other nightcrawlers are living in alternative societies. Underworld brought such a society to the fore, shining a torch (and some flattering designer light) on a leather-clad group of vampires embroiled in a feud with an ancient race of werewolves known as Lycans. In Russia just last year, Night Watch took us into the gloaming to witness similar shenanigans. Perhaps fearing that six months is too long between gothic, O-negative drinks, the makers of Underworld have offered us its unnecessary, unanticipated, and unexpectedly OK sequel, Underworld: Evolution.

Beginning for beginners with a flashback to 1202 A.D. where two siblings - Marcus (Tony Curran), the original vampire, and William (Brian Steele), the first Lycan - are battling each other in a frosty village, the film does much to quickly remind us of its vampirical mythology. Marcus is betrayed by Viktor (Bill Nighy), stored away in the vaults of the family mansion, and William is trapped in a steel coffin for all of eternity. The twins are separated. With this effective piece of prehistory portrayed with some pizzazz and a lot of furrow-browed earnestness, director Len Wiseman treats us then to a series of flashbacks from the original film. Selene (Kate Beckinsale) has killed Viktor and his blood has revived a hybrid Marcus, now with wings. What he wants, and the very nature of his resurrection, are muddily explained in a film whose plot is too convoluted to be enjoyed, but whose occasional sparks of light work hard to make it float.

Pearl Harbor Review

OK
There's a point in Pearl Harbor when Cuba Gooding Jr. leaps into a battleship's gun turret and starts shooting down Japanese planes while hell rages around him. It's a dramatic moment... until you realize that it's that "Show me the money!" guy from Jerry Maguire, shooting CGI bullets at a CGI plane... and you are reminded once again just how phony everything you've seen in Pearl Harbor has been.

Ironically, this incident, where ship's cook Dorie Miller took charge and shot back during America's worst hour on December 7, 1941, is just about the only true event to be found in the entire, oppressive three-hour film. (And our producers are quick to remind us of just how ripped-from-history this little vignette is. Never mind that Gooding has a pitiful excuse for a role with maybe five minutes of screen time.)

Underworld Review

Terrible

"Underworld" might have been one bad-ass B-movie, if only its plot about a war between vampires and werewolves had been seen by co-writer/director Len Wiseman as anything more than a token gimmick on which to hang "Matrix"-mimicking action and antiquated genre clichés.

Thick with mold-breaking potential that goes completely unexplored, the picture is populated by cardboard cutouts of aristocratic, clownishly Goth-fashioned bloodsuckers and sunken-eyed, greasy-haired, heavy-metal headbanger-styled lycans (a fancy word for werewolves). The two races exhaust every trite and tired facet of their respective horror folklore in a story that has obviously, and rather clumsily, had elements edited out -- including a romance between warrior vampiress Selene (Kate Beckinsale) and Michael (Scott Speedman), a human with werewolf ancestry.

When Kraven (ravenous scenery glutton Shane Brolly) -- the conniving, devious, temporary leader of the vampires while their sovereign is entombed in hibernation -- orders the human killed because his DNA could change the course of the centuries-old war, Selene risks her life to save the guy for reasons that aren't entirely clear in this final version of the film.

Pearl Harbor Review

Weak

The handful of battle scenes that make up a good hour of "Pearl Harbor" are adrenaline-pumping and hyper-realistic on a massive scale.

You feel the impact of every single 7.7mm round from dive-bombing Japanese Zeros as they rip through pavement, planes and people in the infamous attack around which the film in centered. Director Michael Bay's camera goes inside cockpits, rides along on bombs from release to explosion, captures the terror of a torpedo in the water from the deck of a ship and includes some of the best special effects ever put on film.

The money shot is a hull-buckling blast that rips through the USS Arizona. It makes being on a luxury liner hit by an iceberg look like a 25-cent carnival ride.
