Katie Couric and John Molner are married!

The talk show host announced the news via Twitter and attached a picture of the couple shortly after saying "I do". She added the caption "So excited to make my debut as Mrs. John Molner!"

The ceremony was attended by the couple's close friends and family including Couric's two daughters, Ellie and Carrie (aged 22 and 17) and Molner's two children Allie and Henry. As Us Weekly reports, Molner's nieces and nephews acted as the ring bearers and flower girls.

The wedding was held at the couple's home in East Hampton and Couric has been preparing for the pool side event. Last week she tweeted about the preparations, captioning picture of her garden "The garden is ready for the big day one week from today! (Gulp!)"

The event was deliberately kept down key as it was both Couric and Molner's second time down the aisle. As Couric told People: "We wanted to keep the wedding just very low-key. This is not my first rodeo so I didn't want to go too crazy and neither did John."

Couric appeared relatively relaxed about the ceremony and didn't even choose her wedding dress until last week. She wore an ivory beaded and embroidered Chantilly lace halter dress by Carmen Marc Valvo. She broke with tradition in showing the groom the dress before the big day. The 56-year-old said "I hope this isn't bad luck but I actually tried it on for him. I tried on a number of dresses and I was so busy, I had a crazy spring."

The couple were dating for over two years before Molner proposed over Labour Day weekend last year. This is the second marriage for Couric whose first husband, Jay Monahan, tragically died of colon cancer in 1998. It is also the second marriage for Molner.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
