Notoriously private couple Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have reportedly spent a few days together on a secret getaway in Mexico just before the actress’ birthday. The pair travelled together without Katie’s young daughter, Suri before the ex-wife of Tom Cruise turned 38 last weekend.

It has been alleged that the reason Katie Holmes has not confirmed she’s dating long-rumoured boyfriend Jamie Foxx is because of a clause in her divorce from Tom Cruise. The report, published by RadarOnline, claims that Holmes’ 2012 divorce from Cruise contains a special clause, saying the actress cannot date another man publicly for five years.

Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes are officially a couple! Well, according to Foxx’s pal, former ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star, Claudia Jordan. Appearing on the Allegedly podcast on Tuesday (June 21) Jordan put an end to three years of rumours, by confirming that the two actors are in fact dating.

Jamie Foxx’s friend Claudia Jordan has confirmed he’s dating Katie Holmes.

When asked about her romantic history with Foxx, Jordan said: "[He's a] good friend of mine. Never [hooked up with him]." Then when quizzed about rumours of his relationship with Holmes, Jordan added, "He is very happy with her. I like that he seems very happy.”

Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise is putting his £4.95 million West Sussex mansion, which he bought during the noughties when he was married to Katie Holmes, up for sale.

The Mission: Impossible star, 53, bought the enormous Rede Place mansion in East Grinstead, in the desirable commuter belt within travelling distance of London, back in 2003. Constructed from an original base of a small Victorian house, the property covers four storeys and 14.2 acres and boasts a huge range of luxury features.

Helen Mirren plays Jewish refugee Maria Altmann who went up against the Austrian government in order to take back a series of Gustav Klimt paintings that had been stolen from her family by the Nazis. Reynolds has taken on the role of Maria's lawyer, Randy Schoenberg, who fights the case for her although he knows little about art.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' little girl Suri celebrated her 7th birthday this week, with her movie star father throwing her a pretty tasty sounding party. It's been a busy year for Suri having started first grade school, though she's been in high spirits in recent weeks and was snapped attending an Easter party in New York City on March 31, 2013.

On Wednesday (April 17, 2013), Cruise called into Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show to discuss his new movie 'Oblivion' though attention quickly turned to Suri's birthday celebrations. "Done already. All done. I take care of the kids early. You'll know - you have to plan ahead for these things. It's all done and all celebrated," he said. Though keeping mum on the details of the celebrations and perhaps hinting that he and Suri had a separate celebration to she and mother Katie, Tom added, "I'll eat cake, cupcakes. I eat all that stuff!"

In June last year, it was announced Holmes has filed for divorce from Cruise after five and a half years of marriage. The couple signed a divorce settlement worked out by their lawyers though mutually agreed to have Suri live with her mother. After initially being home-schooled, the 7-year-old now attends the Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York City.

Katie Holmes will NOT be appearing at the forthcoming New York Fashion Week, Womens Wear Daily have confirmed. It wasn’t deemed headline news by WWD, who shoe-horned the news in with a short piece about Selena Gomez planning to sit on the front row of the teen-curated Adidas NEO show.

Huffington Post picked up on the news though and started to speculate over why the former Mrs Tom Cruise would be absent from the pivotal fashion event. Huffington Post that Holmes may simply just be too busy to take time out for the fashion show. She’s only recently finished her Broadway show, Dead Accounts, which – unfortunately for Katie – finished early because of low ticket sales. She also recently signed on as the face of Alterna Haircare (she’s also co-owner of the brand so will be busy promoting that). And let’s not forget she’ll be busy looking after her six year old daughter Suri.

However, the absence of the latest Holmes & Yang fashion collection could have something to do with the lukewarm reception that it has received. In the war of celebrity collections, Holmes found hers pitted against the Olsen twins’ far more successful range, whilst hers was met with a tepid response.

Tom Cruise just can’t catch a break these days.

Perhaps it’s the actor’s international fame, coupled with his Scientologist beliefs and kooky behavior at times, which turn him into such an easy target, but whatever the cause, there’s no doubt that the Jack Reacher actor has faced his fair share of controversy over the past years. This latest dose comes in the form of a book, aimed at Scientology in Hollywood, entitled Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief, penned by Pulitzer-winning writer Lawrence Wright. In the book, Wright exposes what he claims is the truth behind Cruise’s now broken marriage with Katie Holmes. The author claims that the union followed a casting call for young, beautiful A-list actresses, who thought they were auditioning for a part in the Mission Impossible franchise, but were instead being screened for the role of Cruise’s newest squeeze.

The expose, outlined in Us Weekly, also talks about Cruise’s failed relationship with actress Nazanin Boniadi and the influence that Scientology had on the breakup and on Boniadi afterwards. And to wrap up the increasingly disturbing rumours of arranged marriages, casting calls for girlfriends and feverish political ambitions, the book goes on to talk about Cruise’s supposed presidential dreams. At one point, the actor is quoted as saying: "If f--ing Arnold can be governor, I could be president." A lawyer for the actor denied the exchange ever took place or that Cruise has any political aspirations. Whether or not anything in the book is true, this might make a sizeable dent in the actor’s already shaky reputation.

Katie Holmes and Jake Gyllenhaal dating? Not according to Gossip Cop. The Metro may have reported that the two actors had started up a romance (based on a story from Grazia) but a representative for Katie Holmes has reportedly told the folk over at Gossip Cop that it simply isn’t true. For a fleeting moment, it looked as though the Donnie Darko star and the woman who recently escaped her marriage to Tom Cruise and got a speedy divorce could be the hottest new Hollywood couple. It’s “not at all true” though, apparently, according to the rep. And a source that knows Gyllenhaal also dismissed the idea, saying that it’s a “complete fabrication.”

Supposedly, Katie and Jake were introduced by Katie’s former Dawson’s Creek star Joshua Jackson . It’s been reported that Jake went to see Katie in her Broadway play Dead Accounts and that she’s been to his place for dinner. Of course, all of these things may well be true but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re dating. So it looks as though that rumour has been sunk before it even set sail.

Meanwhile, Katie’s ex, Tom Cruise is said to be dating a restaurant manager named Cynthia Jorge, according to The Daily Mail, suggesting that he has found it a little easier to move on from their very public marital split than Katie has.

What does a divorcee do with her free time exactly? Katie Holmes will have to think about that pretty soon, as her play (well, the one she’s starring in anyway) Dead Accounts is about to close on Broadway, six weeks ahead of schedule.

Apparently, the play wasn’t exactly pulling in the crows, and consistently filled less than 50% of the seats, despite a pretty unanimous thumbs up from critics too. At the end of its run, the play will have gone through 27 previews and 44 performances, which sounds pretty good to us, to be honest. Apparently, producer Jeffrey Finn isn’t one to complain either. "I am extremely proud of this production and the cast," he said in a statement to BroadwayWorld.com. "Theresa Rebeck and Jack O'Brien have created an inspiring and hilarious new play and we are all sad to see Dead Accounts end on Broadway. I look forward to working with this remarkably talented cast and creative team again very soon." Well, as long as there are no hard feelings.

If, by chance you want to see the play before it closes, you will still be able to for a few weeks. Dead Accounts doesn’t close until January 26. Hopefully by then, Katie will have another project or two lined up, and wont have to rely on that alimony check too much.

Katie Holmes is currently in the midst of her first acting gig since splitting up from Tom Cruise this summer, but apparently it is underwhelming, to say the least – Dead Accounts is going to cancelled seven weeks ahead of schedule.

The show, has had the lowest attendance rate on Broadway in the last week with just 31% of its seats filled, according to the New York Times. It is also raking in 25% under its expected profits and there is simply no going around the fact that Dead Accounts just isn’t performing as expected (if you’ll pardon the pun). No wonder then, that the play will be closing on January 6, instead of February 24, as planned.

According to Broadwayworld.com, the show’s producer, Jeffrey Finn, is happy with its run anyway. "I am extremely proud of this production and the cast. Theresa Rebeck and Jack O'Brien have created an inspiring and hilarious new play and we are all sad to see Dead Accounts end on Broadway. I look forward to working with this remarkably talented cast and creative team again very soon."

Rounding off a difficult year, which also included the finalisation of her divorce with Tom Cruise, sees Katie Holmes latest show on Broadway close 2 months early. 

As the New York Times reports, 'Dead Accounts' lies dead in the water as the five person play has flopped with both critics and audiences. Despite the A-List celebrity as one of its leads when something isn't making enough money, there are few ways around it. "For the week ending Dec. 23, it made just under 25 per cent of its potential gross at the Music Box" - clearly it had to close.

Dead Accounts is the comic story of a 'prodigal son' returning home and the ways he is received by the different members of his family. Written by Theresa Rebeck, apparently most critics are putting this disaster down to the script rather than the performances and NY Daily News said "[Holmes] throws herself gamely into her second Broadway show... [but her] efforts add up to zilch."

David Letterman has been opening up recently, sitting on the other side of the desk and being grilled himself for a change, but tonight the Universe retains order once again as he is back on duty for this week's Late Show with David Letterman.

Joining David in the studio this week will be another person who many will want to see being probed to the fullest extent: Katie Holmes. Holmes dropped by to promote her current Broadway show Dead Accounts, but people will be tuning in not to see what she has to say about her new role, but rather what David can get out of her relating to Tom Cruise.

Last week, Letterman played the interviewee for a change, appearing on Charlie Rose's This Morning on CBS, giving an insightful look into his life, one which has been ravaged by depression for years now. Letterman revealed that he started his bout with depression decades ago, taking medication to combat the problem at first, until he stopped the drugs when he came down with a case of shingles. He told Rose of his mental disorder, “It’s different than feeling sad. It’s different than feeling blue. It’s really like a friend of mine says, it’s the world with 20/20 vision.”

There is perhaps nothing worse than forgetting lines as an actor. When it happens in front of a single camera show, or on a movie set, you can brush off the initial embarrassment and stick them on the bloopers real. When it's on Broadway, it's very much real. 

Katie Holme's Broadway performances in "Dead Accounts," have been going by without much ado. They're solid departures from the world of movies, and seem to represent some sort of artistic integrity, until you forget your lines in front of a live audience, that is. "A couple weeks ago I had the moment that I've been dreading," Holmes, 34, told Letterman. "I have this kind of big speech in the second act, and it's pretty important because it kind of goes along with the theme of the show. I said the first line -- and I'm looking at Judy Greer and I'm supposed to be angry at her -- and then the second line I didn't remember. And I didn't remember the third one. I just looked at her like, ah!" she added, trying to replicate Greer's face back at her, which was a mixture of horror and bemusement. "Obviously, I know what the point of it is. So, I kind of made my way there," said Holmes, as she talked us through the adlibbing process, which sounds hard.

The play has been received fairly badly by the critics, but Holmes's reputation remains intact, with a string of 'careful' performances. According to The Guardian, "The play does address the ethics of modern life, in which, as Lorna says, we use religion and money as a panacea to 'plug up the hole in our hearts because we're so afraid of dying'. And yet, Rebeck's play suggests other, better panaceas such as companionship, honesty ... oak trees. Strange that a play that cries out for the real should come across as so very stagey."

Katie Holmes feasted on cakes and eggs for her birthday breakfast meal only a day after taking daughter Suri out cake decorating.

The 'Dawson's Creek' star and her 6-year-old daughter hit bakery and bistro Sugar and Plumm in the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Tuesday (December 18th 2012) to celebrate her 34th birthday. She reportedly ate pancakes and eggs benedict and was presented with a custom made cake by pastry chef Pichet Ong. This isn't the first time the actress has been spotted enjoying cakes. It was only Monday (December 17th) when she was seen taking Suri and a group of her school friends out to go cake decorating at New York's Georgetown Cupcake 'holiday cupcake decoration workshop' according to a source in Us Weekly who also mentioned, 'The kids got messy!' 

They obviously couldn't get enough of the fun as they had also attended the same workshop on December 9th. The kids were allowed to take what they had made home with them and Katie took hers to share with the cast of her new Broadway comedy show 'Dead Accounts'. The company were happy to have the mother and daughter become their latest celebrity fans and took to Twitter to comment on their excitement: 'So much fun having Katie, Suri and friends for cupcake decorating at Georgetown Cupcake'.

Katie Holmes went through Thanksgiving without her beloved daughter Suri, who was instead spending the holiday with her dad, Tom Cruise.

The actress was spotted by paps as she went to board her plane out of New York so she could spend the holiday with her family in Ohio, meanwhile Suri, 6, flew east to join dad Tom in the UK to celebrate the American tradition. Tom has apparently not seen Suri since July this year (12) as he has been on the other side of the Atlantic whilst filming the upcoming All You Need Is Kill, but made special arrangements to make sure that he could spend the holiday with his daughter.

When Katie appeared on Live! With Kelly and Michael earlier this week she revealed some of her holiday plans, saying that she had the day off from her Broadway play Dead Accounts and planned to go she her family back in Ohio, not mentioning whether Suri would be with her or not. The split between Katie and Suri marks the first time when the mother and daughter have been apart over the holiday. Recently, it has been reported that the two will be reunited for Christmas, with Tom also said to be joining them for a family Christmas together despite having divorced earlier this year. The devoted parents are said to be planning on having a trial dinner together before decided whether to spend Christmas together, all for the sake of Suri.

It's nice to see Hollywood A-listers taking the subway, isn't it? We like that. So it was great to see Katie Holmes and a male companion putting on their warm coats this week and travelling into Broadway together. It's been a pretty rough year for the 33-year-old, though she smiled for photographers and went about her business as she made her way to prepare for a performance of her new play Dead Accounts.

In the black comedy, Katie portrays a Catholic woman named Lorna who takes care of her ailing parents. It's currently in previews and has an opening date on November 28, 2012. Wearing an oversized knitted sweater and skinny jeans, Holmes eschewed a private car, or even a cab, and chose to brave the chilly New York weather. She's already received a standing ovation for her role in the new play though still worries about the job at hand, "I have a hard time sleeping because I think about how serious this all is,' Katie told the New York Times of her role.I think about the cost of tickets. I think to myself: You better do a good job. People are paying a lot of money. You want to know your stuff," she recently told the New York Times. Dead Accounts marks the first time Holmes has appeared on Broadway since 2008, when she made her debut in a revival of Arthur Miller's All My Sons.

Over in Hollywood, she'll next appear alongside Jean Reno and William Hurt in a modern retelling of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull.

Nicole Kidman may have been separated from Tom Cruise for 12 years but her relationship with the Hollywood actor remains one of the milestones in her life.

Kidman was just 23 when she married Cruise in 1990 and she told DuJour magazine “I fell madly, passionately in love… I was reeling with Tom. I would have gone to the ends of the earth for him… We were in a bubble, just the two of us," she explained. "We became very dependent on one another."

Of course, Kidman’s relationship with Tom Cruise appears to have been very different to the one that he had with Katie Holmes, who recently filed for divorce, amidst un-proven rumours that Katie was trying to escape the clutches of the Church of Scientology. When the couple split, it knocked Nicole sideways. She was under the illusion that their life together was “perfect” and was surprised by their speedy breakup. “It took me a very long time to heal,” she says. “It was a shock to my system.”

Anne Hathaway starred as this weeks guest host of Saturday Night Live last night (Nov 10), proving herself to be a master of comic timing and delivery. Don't act like you weren't surprised.

The Dark Knight Rises star threw herself into every role she took on during the show, which also featured musical guest Rihanna, lampooning a few celebs on the way. 

Her parody of Carrie Mathison, the neurotic CIA agent with bi-polar disorder from the hit show Homeland, was absolutely spot on. The character, played in real life by Claire Danes, is known for her penchant for going overboard with pinning evidence on cork boards and her tendency to sleep with witnesses, co-workers or whoever is around as well as mixing her medication with white wine - subjects that were thoroughly covered on the laugh-a-minute show.

Talk about throwing yourself into your work, ever since Katie Holmes called time on her six year marriage to Tom Cruise she has thrown herself into the role of full-time mother and now, since returning to the acting circuit on Broadway, has immersed herself into her latest role too.

Her new role as Lorna, prickly dead-beat who has moved back in with her parents in Cincinnati following the collapse of her relationship, in the new play Dead Accounts - a role that Holmes told The New York Times is much closer to home than some might expect. "I'm like Lorna in that my values guide me in an instinctual way, like, 'That feels weird' or 'I better send a thank you,' " she continued "You can easily fall into thinking, 'Wow, I'm really something,' " she said. "But I believe in putting your head down and doing the work."

She may hold similar values but we've already seen that since her break-up from Cruise, Katie is far from the character as she has continually proved that she is a thoroughly competent Manhattan mother. Still, in the recent interview Holmes digressed that she does share many a similarity with her character, namely that she is just a normal person and plans on acting and being treated this way.

Tom Cruise looks ready for action as the first still of the upcoming movie All You Need Is Kill was released today, showing Cruise sprinting through a fiery explosion in a futuristic robot exoskeleton.

The film, being filmed in the UK over the summer, sees Cruise star as Lt. Col. Bill Cage, a soldier fighting in a war with aliens who finds himself caught in a time loop of his last day in the battle, honing his skills with each repetition.

The film, set for a 2014 release, is being directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity), and will also star Brit golden girl Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton, who will portray the hard-as-nails platoon leader. It will be one of six films that Cruise is said to be starring in since his well pulicised split from ex-wife Katie Holmes, including an updated version of the story of Van Helsing, another instalment of the Mission Impossible series and even a rumoured appearance in the announced Top Gun sequel.

Lucky Tom Cruise was away at a Scientology retreat in Sussex when a drunken intruder tried to break into his home. Even more luck came Tom's way as his 'minders' were on watch to properly deal with the inebriate, by tasering him. 

As The Sun reports, the beyond-tipsy man was seen "climbing a fence to gain access to the property", at which point Cruise's employees used a stun gun to make sure he didn't get any further, before calling the . The intruder turned out to be 41-year-old Jason Sullivan- a neighbour of the Top Gun actor. Sullivan had been so drunk that he was attempting to break into the wrong property. However, Sullivan had been arrested and taken all the way to the police station for questioning, before the cops managed to find out who he was and why he was trying to get into Cruise's property. He was then taken to hospital trying to be treated for injuries sustained from the whole ordeal- more than anything it sounds as though his stomach should have been pumped.

After reports of Tom Cruise's break from his wife Katie Holmes earlier this year it seems he has delved further into his faith as he was pledging allegiance to Scientology while on the weekend break. Cruise's latest film 'Reacher' will be out on December 21st.

After a much-publicised divorce, Katie Holmes has admitted that she is truly “loving life” now that she is single and the actress just can’t get enough of her new life in New York as a single mother.

Holmes walked out on her husband of five years Tom Cruise in June this year, just before his 50th birthday. Whilst the couple looked the picture of a happy marriage in the weeks before the split, it was clear in the immediate aftermath that Holmes had been planning on calling time on their relationship for a while. So now, in the light of her revelation, it comes as little surprise to hear that the actress has “never been happier.”

A source close to Katie has revealed to one online source that she is ready to start the next phase of her life, with Katie “devoted to being the best parent possible to Suri” as she can be. The unspecified source also revealed that the former Dawson’s Creek star has absolutely no plans to get back into the dating game anytime soon, as she is purely concentrating on being the best mum she can be to Suri.
