Katie Hopkins' chatshow ‘If Katie Hopkins Ruled the World’ has been axed by network TLC after low viewing figures. According to The Guardian, the network has chosen not to commission second series as just 69,000 viewers tuned in to the first episode.

Sources claim that Hopkins and staff have been told that there are no plans for the series, which ended its seven episode run in September, to return. But Discovery, TLC’s parent channel, told The Guardian there was no comment to make about ‘If Katie Hopkins Ruled the World’.

Hopkins was given the series after her documentary ‘Katie Hopkins: My Fat Story’ brought in high ratings for TLC. The columnist also has a large following on social media with over 600,000 Twitter followers. The show described Hopkins as, “Britain’s most hated woman” and a “professional provocateur”.

Last week Donald Trump gave Hopkins his support, after she penned a column praising the businessman turned politician for "speaking for millions of Americans”. ‘Thank you to respected columnist Katie Hopkins of DailyMail.com for her powerful writing on the U.K.'s Muslim problems,’ Trump tweeted.
