Katie Price has claimed that her son Harvey “must have planned” to drop the C-bomb when they both appeared on ‘Loose Women’ this week, after the ITV show was forced to apologise for swearing during the show.

The 37 year old glamour model and entrepreneur, whose eldest son Harvey said “hello, you c***” when asked how he responds to online bullies on Thursday (May 19th), spoke about the incident later on in the evening on ‘Up Late with Rylan’ on Channel 5.

“He must have planned it in his head,” she said, adding “before we went on air I said, Harvey no swearing, and he said 'yes mummy'.”

Harvey, 13, is visually impaired and suffers from autism and Prader-Willi syndrome, has frequently been the target of online abuse over the years. He appeared with his mum on ‘Loose Women’, and when Price asked him: “If someone says something horrible to Harvey, what does Harvey say?” he dropped the expletive.

Immediately, host Andrea McClean said: “We apologise for that. But this is one of the reasons that we wanted to do this live,” revealing that she and Price had determined to do the interview live rather than edit a pre-recorded interview.

“I want people to see what he's like, not manufacture and edit what he's like,” Price said by way of explanation at the time. Later, McClean added: “We have to apologise, obviously, for the language that you heard a little bit earlier on.”

The rest of the interview went well - not that it made the headlines in the same way – as Harvey answered questions from the rest of the panel and from guest Piers Morgan, whom Price later praised as a “true gent” for the courteous and understanding way in which he interacted with her son.

She told Rylan later that night: “I don't want to hide who he is… I promise he won't swear, I just can't believe it.”
