Keanu Reeves has discussed the possibility of returning as Neo for a fourth Matrix movie.

Reeves starred in the first film in the Wachowskis’ franchise, The Matrix, in 1999, returning for sequels The Matrix Reloaded in May 2003 and finally The Matrix Revolutions, six months later. But 13 years on fans are still wanting more from Neo.

Speaking to Yahoo Movies about the possibility of a fourth instalment, Reeves said: “The Wachowskis would have to be involved. They would have to write it and direct it.

“And then we’d see what the story is, but yeah, I dunno, that’d be weird, but why not? People die, stories don’t,” he added. “People in stories don’t.” Reeves is no stranger to a sequel and is currently starring in John Wick: Chapter 2.

Earlier this month Reeves also confirmed work was beginning on a new Bill & Ted movie. Appearing on ‘The Graham Norton Show’, he said: “Bill and Ted are still alive. The writers have a story and we’re trying to make it.”

Speaking about the film’s plot, he revealed: “Basically, they’re supposed to write a song to save the world and they haven’t done that.

“The pressure of having to save the world, their marriages are falling apart, their kids are kind of mad at them, and then someone comes from the future and tells them if they don’t write the song it’s just not the world, it’s the universe. So they have to save the universe because time is breaking apart.”
