Sugababes
Whilst she was at primary school in Kingsbury, London, Keisha Buchanan met Mutya Buena. When they were 13, they met Siobhan Donaghy at a music studio and formed the group Sugababies (they changed the name to Sugababes later).
In 1998, Sugababes signed a deal with Island Records and released their debut, breakthrough single, 'Overload'. Sugababes performed the song live on Top of the Pops. The band's debut album, One Touch, was released in 2000.
The following year, Siobhan Donaghy left Sugababes and was replaced by Heidi Range. The band continued with this line-up until 2005, when Mutya Buena left the band and started a family. Buena was replaced by Amelle Berrabah. Four the next four years, this left Keisha as the only original member of the band. During her time in the band, Sugababes became one of the most successful girl groups of the 21st century, in terms of record sales. They had seven number one singles: 'Freak Like Me', 'Hole In the Head', 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' (with Band Aid 20) 'Push the Button', 'Walk This Way' (with Girls Aloud) and 'About You Know'. Two of their albums, Taller In More Ways and Change were also number one hits.
Keisha Buchanan's last release with Sugababes was 'Get Sexy'.
