America's fabled Kennedy family are facing another scandal with new reports tragic JOHN F KENNEDY JR fathered a mystery love child.

The publisher and businessman, who was 38 when he died in a plane crash in 1999, is at the centre of new allegations he impregnated an Italian girlfriend on a trip to Europe a year before his death.

Sources have told American magazine NATIONAL ENQUIRER that JFK Jr, whose wife CAROLYN BESSETTE also died in the accident, lived in fear of the truth leaking out in the final months of his life.

Once insider says, "This woman broke the news to JFK Jr that she was expecting and she wanted to have his child. She was a high-society Italian beauty.

"That threw him into a panic. He'd been warned from his youth by his mother JACKIE that women would want to trap him."

Another Kennedy source adds, "John feared he may have accidentally fathered a child in Italy - even though the mother initially swore she'd never expose his offspring to the public spotlight.

"Somewhere in Italy a mother holds the answer of whether John is really the father of her baby."
