Artists including Lady GaGa, Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande, are uniting in support for Kesha after the latest setback in her ongoing legal battle with producer Dr. Luke. On Friday Kesha was was denied her request for a preliminary injunction that would allow her to release music without producer Dr Luke, who she has previously accused of sexual assault and emotional abuse.

Celebrities have been offering support for Kesha following her latest legal setback.

Kesha first filled suit against Dr Luke in 2014, claiming the producer had sexually assaulted her and accusing him of sexual harassment, gender violence, civil harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Kesha also claimed that on occasions Dr Luke had ‘drugged’ her.

Acclaimed comedy series Jane the Virgin has wowed audiences with its fresh writing, endearing premise and excellent acting and it seems the first season has gained some celebrity fans along the way as well. Songstress Kesha has announced that she will make a guest appearance in the second season’s second episode.

The multi-million selling pop star Kesha has filed a lawsuit against music producer Dr Luke, claiming that he sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused her for 10 years - almost killing her. In documents obtained by the gossip website TMZ.com, Kesha claims Dr Luke made sexual advances towards her after signing with him aged 18. She also claims he forced her to use drugs and alcohol to remove her defenses.

Recalling one alleged instance, Kesha says she was forced to snort something before getting on a plane, with Dr Luke forcing himself on her while she was drugged. She also claims Dr Luke once forced her to drink with him and take "sober pills" - later waking up naked in the producer's bed sore and sick.

Kesha has finally opened on the subject of the eating disorder which sent her to rehab last winter and forced her to take time out of her singing career whilst she recovered. "That first day at the treatment center was the scariest of my life," she wrote in a self-penned Elle article.

One of the first issues the 27 year-old chooses to address in her piece is that of her reckless party animal reputation and how nowadays that may not be necessarily true. "My dirty little secret is that I'm actually incredibly responsible," she wrote.

Referring back to her early career and image at the time, the pop star was critical of societal hypocrisies. "I didn't want to be just pretty - I was wild, crazy and free. I talked about sex, about drinking. When men do that, it's rock and roll, but when I did it, people assumed I was a train wreck," she continued.

Kesha has opened up on her widely-publicised rehab stay in a new interview with Teen Vogue. The 26 year-old star checked herself into the Timberline Knolls rehab center near Chicago in January due to suffering from an undisclosed eating disorder.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," she said at the time in a statement. Rumours have swirled for months regarding the final straw that compelled the 'Tik Tok' singer to seek help but Kesha now wants to set things straight.

"Let's just get the elephant out of the room," she said, adding "My eating disorder is something I've been struggling with for a while. People will make up stories, but I went to rehab for an eating disorder-nothing more and nothing less."

Kesha has dropped the $ from her name, apparently in a bid to start afresh since leaving rehab. Kesha had checked into the Timberline Knolls Treatment Center to receive treatment for eating disorders and has announced to her fans on Twitter that she is “Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music”.

Happy Kesha day, everyone! More specifically, the day that Kesha left rehab. Even more specifically, that day was Thursday, so we might as well just make it Kesha week. Two months after checking herself into a rehab facility for the eating disorder she admitted to developing last year, the singer announced that she is out.

Kesha entered rehab in early 2014.

She did so via her traditional mode of communication, Twitter, by posting a picture of herself, newly red-haired and looking out of a plane window. Kesha then tweeted: “Happy to be back! Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music. I can't thank my fans enough for all the love & support u have given me,” in case anyone was still not clear on her rehab stint being over.

Pitbull and Ke$ha have finally outperformed their rivals to claim the UK's first official number one song of 2014. Their new party track 'Timber' has danced to the top of the charts, ahead of previous top dog Pharrell Williams and his 'Happy' as well as Avicii's 'Hey Brother.'

Inspired by Avicii's 'Wake Me Up,' 'Timber' blends a dancefloor beat with country influences and is both Pitbull and Ke$ha's third number one single in the UK after having each separately conquered the charts twice before. Though the first week of the year is traditionally quiet one for music sales, purchases of 'Timber' have numbered an impressive 139,000 copies this week, according to the Official Charts Company.

The 26 year-old has entered a rehabilitation facility in Chicago to receive treatment for an eating disorder.

TMZ reports that the 'Tik Tok' singer, who is a vegetarian, entered rehab on the morning of January 3rd (Friday).

US singer Kesha, AKA Ke$ha, has been told she will not be welcome to perform in Malaysia, leading to her scheduled Saturday show in Kuala Lumpur cancelled. The ban results from the Malaysian authority's fears that Kesha's show, which is known for being raunchy, will offend "religious and cultural sensitivities," according to BBC News.

Kesha has been banned from performing in Malaysia after officials deemed her music directly conflicted with their countries' religious beliefs. The 26-year-old singer was set to perform last night in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur on Saturday 26th October. Unfortunately for fans of the L.A. born performer, officials refused to change their stance on her appearance at the Stadium Negara.

Kesha's performance in Kuala Lumpur was cancelled due to an official ruling.

It seems the application for her live performance was declined at the last minute, according to a report by TMZ. The concert promoters, LiveScape, made the announcement and claimed they were "distraught" to have to cancel the concert owing to the official ruling. The company pointed out they were financially at a loss.

Music lovers at the iHeartRadio Music Festival last weekend (September 20th-21st 2013) were in for a treat as Justin Timberlake rounded off the event with a few new tunes.

It was a rather special set from the 'Suit and Tie' singer who has dealt well with the endless live shows and televised performances pretty much running through the whole year. He was introduced to the stage by undefeated welterweight boxer floyd mayweather who crowned him 'the heavyweight champion of music'; a prestigious title that his thrilled audience certainly didn't appear to dispute. As well as performing some timeless hits from 'Cry Me A River' to 'SexyBack' to 'Mirrors', JT unleashed some brand new tracks from 'The 20/20 Experience' follow-up, 'The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2'. He sang his most recent single 'TKO', as well as 'True Blood' and 'Only When I Walk Away'. Even aside from the music Justin was an act not to be missed, oozing with charisma as he owned the stage with his entertaining and often comedic dance routines.

Other notable performances from the weekend came from everyone's favourite controversy Miley Cyrus, who belted out hits such as 'Wrecking Ball' and 'We Can't Stop' wearing a customary revealing outfit; Joan Jett, who teamed up with Ke$ha in an unusual performance which celebrated her 55th birthday; and Paul McCartney, who was promoting his, quite literally, 'New' album set for release on October 15th.

Forget everything you've heard, hitmaker supreme Dr Luke will not be joining the judge's panel on American Idol, despite earlier news. It was reported that Dr Luke would sit alongside returning panel members Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez on the singing talent contest to judge pop star hopefuls for a 13th season.

Luke, with a history of writing hits for former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, as well as P!nk's 'Who Knew' and Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl,' apparently made through the judge's selection process to become one of the last candidates standing after a month's long search for the next discerning talent judge.

Dr. Luke will be joining Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez on the judging panel of American Idol. Dr. Luke a.k.a. Lukas Gottwald is the third judge to be announced with another yet to be agreed upon. E! first reported the news.

Gottwald is a songwriter and producer who is responsible for the likes of Kelly Clarkson's 'Since U Been Gone'; Kesha's 'Tik Tok' and Katy Perry's 'California Gurls'. As Urban and Lopez are involved in the performance side of the music industry, Gottwald is likely to provide an interesting perspective when judging the televised singing competition.

Ke$ha's most recent tour saw her dancing in front of a chorus line of tuxedo and top hat wearing men with oversized eyeball masks covering their face. The costumes worn by the backing dancers seem to be inspired by the veteran rock group, The Residents, but the avant-garde art collective are claiming that not only did Ke$ha steal their idea, but she hasn't given the group any recognition for the image.

The Residents aren't looking to sue Ke$ha or anything, all they want is some recognition and a thank you from the singer for inspiring the look. Ke$ha has been spotted wearing a Residents t-shirt in the past - during an interview with MTV - and is probably a fan of their work, and the band are simply asking for some recognition from her for using their image during the stage show.

Think of someone currently in the pop music business – no really, anyone – and they’re probably in Bonnie McKee’s new music video for American Girl. If you’re wondering who Bonnie McKee is, you wouldn’t be the first. It’s not that you haven’t heard her music, it’s just that the songwriter has so far stayed behind the scenes, writing music for people like Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Tayo Cruz, Adam Lambert and Carly Rae Jepsen.

Coincidentally, all of these people make cameo appearances in her American Girl video. Joining them are other stars, like Kiss (we’re not even kidding), Macklemore, Jewel, Jason Derulo, Karmin, Kelly Osbourne – seriously, it’s pretty much the 2012 Billboard chart squeezed into a single video. Plus an appearance by McKee herself, of course. In the video, she’s eating a cheeseburger and sucking on a popsicle. It’s not as bad as it sounds, though. And to be fair, the song is quite catchy.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards looked to be one of the most celeb-filled events of the year with some of the music industry's biggest stars making their glamorous arrivals. 

'22' singer Taylor Swift clutched eight accolades to her chest as she posed on the red carpet having won Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Country Album for 'Red', Top Country Song with 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist and Top Country Artist. Carly Rae Jepsen was another young female star to land a prize winning Top Digital Song and Top Pop Song for her massive 2012 hit 'Call Me Maybe'. Queen of Pop Madonna scooped up three well deserved awards including Top Dance Album for 'MDNA', Top Dance Artist and Top Touring Artist after her controversial 'MDNA' tour which landed her amidst a handful of lawsuits. There was no sign of letting up on the controversial front either as she donned hotpants, suspenders and fishnets at the Billboard event. Top Streaming Artist, Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album with 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' went to Nicki Minaj while Top EDM Artist was none other than David Guetta who brought his wife Cathy Guetta along with him to the awards show.

The headline pretty much says it all. Yes, 26-year-old Die Young singer Ke$ha has clearly been watching Kevin Costner in Waterworld. But while Costner managed to set up a nifty gadget that purified his urine into fresh water, Ke$ha is simply swilling it down - straight from the barrel, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

The singer has gained a reputation for being somewhat  of an oddball. In her new documentary series by filmmaker brother Lagan Sebert, she's filmed jumping out of airplanes, making out in clubs, crying over nasty comments from bloggers and drinking her own urine. "I heard it was good for you. That was, like, the rumor," she said of the latter. "But I don't know. I'm also just one that doesn't shy away from things. I'm not good at saying 'no' so I just figure, f--k it, I'll try anything once. So I tried it. I wouldn't recommend it. It was pretty gross. And I don't think it really did anything very beneficial to me so, yeah, I wouldn't probably do it again".

The party-girl hit the headlines earlier this month after it was alleged she was puffing on a joint onstage at the MTV Movie Awards with Snoop Dogg, though Ke$ha coyly refuted the allegations. "It was glitter. . We were just smoking my glitter," she said.

Ke$ha has become something of an enigma since exploding onto the music scene in 2010, with the pop star well-known for her partying antics but not a lot else. The new fly-on-the-wall MTV series, Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, looks to remove some of this enigma and open up Ke$ha's larger than life personality to the public when it airs tonight (April 23).

The 'Tik Tok' singer has been hard at work promoting the new series in recent weeks, revealing some rather startling, but not not really that surprising, facts about her everyday life. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the singer revealed some interesting facts about herself and lamented that despite popular belief she isn't such a man-eater after all. "I'm actually not a slut. I just like to kiss people," she told the journal.

Selena Gomez was a highlight of the weekend’s NewNowNext awards, in which celebrities are celebrated for such highly sought-after talents as having the best new hairdo, being the ‘most addictive reality star’ and having the ‘hottest, sexiest ink.’ Oh yeah. This is the important stuff, folks. Gomez rocked up on the red carpet wearing a pair of leather-look trousers and a peplum top. You thought the peplum look was on its way out, but you were wrong.

Selena wasn’t the only star to make a show at the awards, either. Kesha arrived looking cool in a mint green, vintage style dress and her long blond fringe almost covering her eyes. She’s obviously been paying attention to the grunge styles currently flooding the catwalk and went for the ‘if you squint, I look a lot like Courtney Love’ vibe. Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie was there, too, hiding her bump, her bump, her lovely baby bump, under an Oriental style black dress.
