Ed Hartwell, the husband of Keshia Knight Pulliam, has filed for divorce just six months after the couple married and days after the actress announced she was pregnant. Hartwell filed for divorce this week and is now said to de demanding that his estranged wife undergo a paternity test.

The news of Hartwell's filing was confirmed by a rep for the actress to People magazine. Last week Pulliam had announced the couple were expecting their first child in an Instagram post, writing, "Surprise!! We have a new addition coming soon …”

But now Hartwell is said to be demanding Pulliam undergo a paternity test. A source told People that the former NFL player, "doesn't have any evidence of her cheating" but wants a paternity test because he is concerned about the timing of the pregnancy news.

"It's just that he had told her he wanted to wait before having a baby and things got really bad between them and then she pops up pregnant," the source continued. “He even told her he didn't want to release the bump picture so soon, but she did it anyway.”

The source added that Hartwell, "just wants to make sure that just because they were married he still covers his bases and gets everything checked out. The pregnancy came during a very dark spot in their relationship.”

Pulliam, who is best known for playing Rudy Huxtable on 'The Cosby Show' married Hartwell earlier this year after becoming engaged on New Year’s Eve. Hartwell was previously married to Lisa Wu-Hartwell and appeared with her on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’.
