The one hour primetime programme was originally set to air in the U.S. on 9 December (15) but network bosses at FYI have announced the show will now debut on 20 January (16).

No reason was given for the delay, but sources tell Entertainment Tonight the decision could be down to Khloe's commitment to caring for her estranged husband Lamar Odom.

The basketball player was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel on 13 October (15) after reportedly suffering a drug overdose and multiple strokes. He was in a coma for several days and was airlifted to a Los Angeles hospital after regaining consciousness.

Khloe, 31, has remained by his bedside throughout the ordeal and recently put a promotional tour for her new book, Strong Looks Better Naked, on hold as she continued to care for Lamar.

The star announced her chat show in July (15) by posing for a photo with a glass of wine, which she posted on Instagram.

"Excited to announce my new talk show Kocktails with Khloe on the @FYI network!!" she wrote alongside the selfie. "Can't wait to show you all what we have in store for you on the show. More to come soon!"

The concept for the show will reportedly revolve around a dinner party full of famous people. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star hopes to have celebrity guests and friends join her in the kitchen to help create a meal before playing "outrageously fun party games."

The show won't be the first time Khloe has tried her hand at TV work outside her family's reality show; back in 2012 she co-hosted the second series of the U.S. edition of The X Factor alongside Mario Lopez.
