Kim Cattrall wants to continue working in her 80s.

The 59-year-old actress is hopeful she can continue to lead a long and healthy life as she ensures she takes care of herself now, and she doesn't want to retire or slow down.

She said: ''I hope to [live another 35 years]. I think as long as physically I'm not in pain, I'm taking care of myself and exercising and stretching, so I hope I'd be alright.

''Genetically, I come from good stock. My dad was 86 when he passed [in 2012] and my mom is 87 this year and she's in good form. Odds are that I will last and be happy and fulfilled, I hope to be working in my 80s.''

And the 'Sex and the City' star is excited about her impending 60th birthday and compared the decade ahead with the ''wonderment'' of her teenage years.

She explained to BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour: ''I think the great thing about approaching 60 is it feels like the teenage years, there's a kind of wonderment, I survived and I'm alright. I still like me and my life, this kind of feeling that it's not forever, it's just for now.

''I think that's what I'm looking forward to more and more as i get older, just enjoying these moments and accepting them for what they are, not wanting more, just hoping for a good time.''
