On doctors orders the rock band's drummer has to rest and recover, therefore he is unable to perform.
Fans who are hoping to watch Kings of Leon live this month have been left utterly disappointed, but there is a very good reason for this. The American rock group will be heading home for the remainder of this August and wait for drummer Nathan Followill to recover after breaking his rib.
Nathan Followill broke a rib in a tour bus incident
As previously reported, KoL were forced to postpone their Aug 10th concert in Saratoga Springs, New York, after Nathan sustained the rather severe injury. The drummer broke his rib when the band's tour bus had to suddenly swerve to avoid hitting a pedestrian.

However, on doctor's orders Nathan must remain resting and recover, which means he cannot perform and therefore all of KoL's scheduled August tour dates, apart from one, have been cancelled. They are expected to be back on the road on August 28th, Billboard reports.
"The process is now to rest in order for healing to take place. To avoid complications and to make a full recovery, a break from performing to Aug. 28 is necessary," Faiz Bhora, chief of thoracic surgery at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, said in a statement.

"I'm counting down the days until I can get back in the saddle and continue what has been our best American tour so far," Nathan also added, referring to the band touring in support of their latest studio album 'Mechanical Bull' (2013).
