Movie legend Kirk Douglas is teaming up with TV's new Spartacus to launch his new new memoir about the making of the 1960 film classic.
The 95 year old is releasing I Am Spartacus! Making a Film, Breaking the Blacklist as an e-book in June (12), and he has called on Spartacus: Vengeance star Liam MCIntyre to help him promote it during a panel chat about the fictional Roman slave-turned-gladiator at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Goldenson Theater in North Hollywood on 31 May (12).
In the book, Douglas talks candidly about working on the film, which sparked Hollywood's ban against suspected Communists.
Douglas not only starred in Spartacus - he was a producer.
An audio edition of the book, which will be published online, will be narrated by Douglas' son Michael.
