The rocker was sued twice in 2006 after a deal to open the American Curiosities Museum failed to come to fruition.

He reached a settlement in both cases, but lawyers who represented him in the fight are now claiming he failed to pay $158,407 (£105,605) in legal fees.

According to TMZ.com, the 44 year old set up a plan to hand over $1,000 (£667) a month until the debt was paid off, but he allegedly stopped the payments after two months.

Davis' former lawyers are now seeking $256,021 (£170,681) for the balance they claim they are owed, plus interest.
