Kourtney Kardashian has revealed that focussing on losing weight has helped her overcome anxiety since her break-up with long-term boyfriend Scott Disick last summer.

Disick, the father of the eldest Kardashian sister’s three children Mason, Penelope and Reign, got his marching orders back in July 2015 after he was pictured partying with another woman. Though it’s been rumoured on a number of occasions subsequently that they were on the verge of a reconciliation, Kourtney was pictured out and about with Justin Bieber in December.

Writing on her own website on Monday (January 4th), however, the 36 year old revealed that the transition to get to this point had not been easy at all, and that she frequently suffered from anxiety in the months following the split.

“Everyone deals with hard times in their lives differently. I'm generally not a nervous person but I get anxious. I also get nauseous and feel like I can't eat when it is really bad, but I force myself to stay healthy,” she said. “One thing I've found that really helps is working out. I try to exercise 5 days a week. I usually start with a quick run or jumping rope to warm up. I have to do something fast to really kill it. And I definitely need good music.”

“People are very quick to judge others by appearances but you truly don't know what someone's motivation is or what is going on inside them,” she continued, on her regime to get rid of her baby weight from her youngest child, Reign. “For me, exercise is as much about my body as it is about calming my mind.”

Disick, 32, has been to rehab for treatment for alcoholism, and he recently tearfully apologised for his behaviour on ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’.

“If I didn't have those kids, I would kill myself,” he said. “But I have them and I'm going to be here and I'm going to make it right for them. I just hope that somehow… God can like, give me a chance or us a chance at this.”
